Here is a set of near mint condition Spalding Tour Edition Custom Crafted irons. These might be the best players irons of the 1980’s. Beautiful shape with a nicely cambered sole makes them extremely playable. 
 

This set was new old stock when I received them. I’ve hit about 20 balls at the range and played 9 holes with them, they are practically new. I have added hand wrapped Neumann leather grips over Gripmaster Midsize underlistings. 3-PW. Shafts are Dynamic Gold R300’s and are 1/2” overlength from factory with a 38.5” 5-iron. These are really a perfect set of players irons.

 

You will not find a nicer condition set of these irons anywhere.

Yes, those were the iron or choice for Spalding staff members back in the day - Stadler, Stewart, Geiberger, Norman, Miller, etc.  I also have a set of these (not as good condition) I wouldn't mind moving, but yours are beauties, especially with wrapped leather grips!
