With a few exceptions, players around #50 don't earn tons of endorsement.  My guess it's around $100,000 - $200,000 a year, just enough to offset their expenses.

What a race for the last spots! Fully 10 players are now T38 at -12. It is going to be quite the finish today.

Was going to mention how well a few Germans are doing but two are +4 through six today.

Congratulations to Hae Ran Ryu, 21, for winning the medalist honor; she's unflappable and a perennial winner.

 

Also, Alexa Pano, 18, who saved her best for last with a -5 in her last and eighth round.  She'll join Xiaowen Yin as teenage rookies.

Ryu was terrific both weeks - congrats to her!

 

Very happy to see Alexa Pano advance and she’ll be able to draw on her strong weekend finish for some time. Not sure if Rick still caddies for her, but I’m sure he had a front row seat. Well done!

 

And very sorry to see Robyn Choi and Allison Emrey have nightmare days. Looking forward to seeing them both earn their way back in 2023.

Vongtaveelap’s triple-bogey 7 on the 18th hole in R8 = cost her a top -20 finish arguably? A par would’ve left her at T17 (above Pano at T21).

Am aware quite a few of these ladies who finished priority list +101 = skipped Q-series

 

e.g. Tiffany Chan (125th on the season standings, https://www.lpga.com/statistics/points/race-to-cme-globe-season?year=2022?) went to play last weekend's Singapore Women's Open (part of the new Ladies Asian Tour series).

Yea, there were quite a few and many more than in past years. Makes me think they know something we don’t.

Many good information here; I didn't know Chanettee Wannasaen of Thailand is only 18 and has already won many small professional events.  She's younger than Arpichaya Yubol and seems to be equally talented.

 

One thing just struck me is most likely all 46 qualifiers will play LPGA in 2023; that's a matriculation yield of 100%, better than Blackstone or Harvard University.

Yes she appeared in the Honda LPGA Thailand event and I believe, the Scottish Open event (w Yubol). Glad that latter made that cut on the number whilst advancing all the way from Q1. Boonchant easily qualified as well, although she is the more seasoned of the bunch, she already has the premier Hana Bank sponsorship, so big things ahead for her! Hopefully she doesn't struggle as much as fellow Duke standout Gina Kim her rookie season.
