Generally, it's as much as possible subject only by weather and my physical limitations. In the good-weather portions of the year that's sustainable at about 4-5 times a week for me although occasionally I might play as many as six days in a row. Usually by the fifth round in a week my body is getting a little creaky.

But I do not play if the temps or wind chills are much below 45-50 degrees. And I never play when it's raining. So that means there are periods I might not play at all for a week or two and during the winter I'm lucky to get a couple rounds a week in.

I have groups with whom I play in standing games a couple times a week, another guy I play (but don't bet) with once a week and I like to have at least one or two solo rounds a week. I find if I play with other people half a dozen rounds in a row the social stuff wears thin. But if I play by myself several rounds in a row my own company gets a little tedious. I'm hard to satisfy that way 😬 so I try to mix it up a little to keep things fresh.

I think this schedule is awesome.  I might need to start playing 9 more.  I always feel like 9 isn't a enough but it's better than nothing.

18 on Tuesdays and 9 on Thursdays. Unfortunately that’s about all my body can handle.

March - October I'll typically play 1 - 2x a week, plus maybe 9 holes after work every now and then once daylight saving time kicks in.

November - February it's more like 1 - 2x a month just due to weather. I won't go unless the high is above 50* that day.

Fortunately, I'm a member of a private club so I can essentially go out and play whenever I want as long as I have the time.

I didn't play golf back in my 20s and 30s, spent most of my time building my business and traveling offshore.  Fortunately, now, I play 1-3 times a week, and take multiple golf trips a year.

Family is #1 priority, work is #2.  Golf is a time consuming sport that we enjoy when time and money are available; it NEVER takes priority or is an entitlement, just fun, like riding a bike.

The 9-hole league is very fun. This was my first year doing it full-time and it was a great success. I was able to get out of work by 4:30 every single Tuesday and my partner and I ended up taking 2nd place overall and winning some money. It was great. It gives you something to look forward to during the week as well.

Otherwise, I'd recommend 9-holes in the evening, whether it's after work or on the weekend. It's hard to beat 9-holes in the evening. If you can manage that 1-2x a week it's great.

Having a family is the tough part. I don't have kids so it's easy for me. Most of the folks I know who play a lot either have no kids + an agreement with the wife that golf is part of their lifestyle or their kids are grown and the wives welcome them getting out of the house.

... I play 4 to 5 times a week, unless friends are visiting then every day. I usually take off Thursday but some weeks play mon-fri every day. Obviously living in AZ I can play year round so well over 200 rounds a year.

I get 20-25 rounds a year, but I have a net in my garage (and an r10 on the way 😀). I also have enough backyard to hit up to an 8 iron so I’m swinging a club at least twice a week.

My schedule is pretty standard and consistent.

Summer - 5 days a week of practice generally and play 1-2 times per week.

Winter - 5 days a week of practice indoors.

I have a practice membership at GOLFTEC which is nice because I can swing inside and use the cameras to look at my swing.

So far this year I’ve played around 15 times. Some of those are 9 holes and some are 18. I have a young family and my oldest 2 come out with me most of the time. Most of my rounds were played back in the spring. I had big plans to play a lot back in the summer but my other hobby, fly fishing, took up most of my free time.
