Bryson, “I lost 20 pounds in a month.”

No snark -  I hope he gets the help he needs. Guy has obvious issues.

BD I mean, not the self annointed genius.

Although TBH that could go for both 😉

To me Bryson seems like the nerdy kid who stayed at home on weekends in high school and college reading physics books. I’ve said this same thing before when he had that girlfriend a few years back who looked like a porn star and was obviously in it for money, to be honest she was probably his first.

He now lives in a house with a bunch of college age dudes supporting them. Doesn’t surprise me he thought he could just eat a ton of crap and put on 50 pounds of muscle in a year. Most guys have that same thought process in high school, lol.

The truth that never changes is that you can push yourself to go beyond the physical limits. Doing so may result in benefits, in some cases, huge benefits. But there will always be a price to pay. Bryson just got the check and realized it was too costly. Tiger, OTOH, took out a balloon loan and said, “Bring it on.”

Regarding Musk, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I’ll get off my soap box now.

I also think the fact that his father recently passed away from complications due to diabetes made him have a good hard long look at his lifestyle and his genetics and how that could impact his future health. I think he realizes that the things he does need to be good for the long term. It shows that he is becoming more mature.

(Terrible photo thanks to the "romantic" lighting in the Tarkanian Room at Piero's!)

Do they deliver?

To Japan?

Interesting choice of serving dish. Looks like a Karahi.

But, yeah, I want that!

I'd suggest that's why you are an engineer and not a multi-billionaire who has created businesses that are changing the world.  Haters are gonna hate, and Musk will continue to create. Twitter  is going to be a massive multi-dimensional app when it is completed, and it will be a success.

Bless your heart.

They’ll be ok.  Just looks like issues because they think differently. A human without issues isn’t a human.  .

BD got serious ADD issues or the like. He needs these enormous projects and overhauls in order to keep focus on all kinds of things besides just straight up golf.

So now, he goes on this big diet project, he’s avoiding bread, pasta, dairy, beans, all kinds of stuff.

But it’s really just macros and calorie count that are key. No need to deny entire categories of food that are enjoyable and satisfying. Per my avatar ; )

Yep. I about made my wife's head spin like the Exorcist when I told her "I have 2 targets: #1 is hitting my protein target. #2 is hitting my calorie target... but not before #1. If I hit #1 most days IDK how I hit #2 🙂"

Dramatic reenactment of my Weight Watcher Points System-using wife after hearing that:

He may end up overdoing it and get all emaciated. Then what happens?

You lose your mind and go out eat a huge plate of fettuccine alfredo, a loaf of bread, and three pieces of tiramisu 🤣

Im a big proponent of getting most calories from whole foods.

I've said that for a while.  I have ADD myself.

Dude just cannot accept that the game is "hit ball, find ball, hit ball again till in the hole."  He needs it to be more complicated to keep his mind busy.

(I am at work now, doing ISO stuff, listening to a podcast and typing out this response.  About every ten minutes I need to switch what I am working on to stay productive throughout the day.  I get a lot of stuff done but I bet it looks frantic to other people.  I have about 50-11 projects going on at home too.  Have an old Massey Ferguson tractor took apart, some raised garden beds in process, a 98 suburban with the interior ripped out and in process of restoring.  I am probably missing something.)

Just curious, why you on Tweeter?

I get it if you’re promoting/trying to make money or a public figure trying to fool people.

But what’s the point of actually participating otherwise?

To me, the interaction on twitter like a stadium full of people who all smoked crack attacking each other with whiffle ball bats.

🤣

Like somebody famous post something and then all nut job tweeters go nuts like

wrestling brawl GIF by WWE

🤣

I would share news, information and interact with other professionals, pre-pandemic..  My personal feed was strictly to keep in touch with friends and family who live abroad in Aus, Asia & Europe.

The carnage you mention is why "you" are on social media.. you're bored. 🤣

Oh I agree 100%.

I absolutely love living in a world where some anonymous rando can spend $8 on a checkmark icon, send one tweet and wipe out $15 BILLION of Eli Lilly’s market cap (while pointing out a massive injustice, none the less). That’s my kind of chaos, baby!

But I’ve got bad news for you if you think it’s going to last….

Fortunes are won and lost daily..  there was no value if it was so easily dissolved..

TFW we were all on here making the same joke about Bob Parsons getting into the golf business!

If only Elon and Bob Parson's could be as successful as you! Clearly they are clueless in making money and the immediate downturn of a parasitic/cancerous belief system within Twitter HQ being removed can't possibly turn around after a few months of cleaning house and changing the dialogue.

My wife has a degree in physics & math, minor in Spanish from a small private school while also playing college tennis. As if that wasn't hard enough, she graduated in 2 1/2 then decided to go get a degree in mechanical engineering.

I show her statements BDC makes and she gets a puzzled look on her face. Tough look from a guy who didn't graduate and claims to be an expert in movement.

Ahhhhhhh yes.  The old "money = success" argument.  Truly big galaxy brained stuff.

Here's my day so far:  slept in, had a leisurely breakfast, made a killer espresso, answered a few emails, went and did my Thanksgiving shopping while the stores were empty, answered a few more emails, made a great sandwich, now I'm off to tee it up.

Guess how much money I made today?  Beats me!  I have no idea!  But by my standards of success, I'll guarantee you I'm having a much more successful Monday than I would be if I was Elon or Bob right now.

Here's some life advice, and tell you what, I won't even charge you for it:  True success is self-defined.  If you're defining other people's success (strangers on the internet no less!!) based on other people's money...well, you've already lost the game.

You seem to be quantifying Elon's success through metrics when it fits your argument, and a philosophical stoic when it does not. Elon (like him or not, I'm not a fan) is wildly successful in almost all of his endeavors. And a knee jerk reaction to the twitter downturn is not representative of anything other than drastic changes implemented by Elon. Give it time, it may still burn to the ground, but it'll take time to get any true measure of his changes.

But we can agree, your success and my success look very different because of our values and experiences. I got up at 4 AM to workout and then go run my business, enjoy the golf.

Nobody in history better than EM at managing resources and teams to attain the farthest reaching goals.

Make mass produced cars that don’t use gas.

Make space travel economical with reusable rockets 🚀

The issue with Twitter is, what is the goal? What is it?

I don’t think even he knows 🤣

I thought his goal was to somehow use Twitter as a platform for X, the everything app?

Find where I've ever called Elon a success or a failure.  You won't be able to, because I haven't.  I don't know the man, so that's not my judgement to make.  Though I've certainly enjoyed watching him light twitter on fire, no doubt there.

In my world, happiness = success, and I have no idea how happy Elon is at the end of his days.  You're the one calling him a success based on his net worth.  If that's the way he measures his own success, then sure, great, good for him.  Frankly, if I was going to speculate, the dude seems happiest when he's sh*tposting on twitter, and by buying twitter he's put himself in a position where every sh*tpost is a lawsuit or SEC or FTC or whatever violation waiting to happen.  Oops!  Dude's going to have a big sad when a lawyer explains that to him, then he'll ignore the lawyer and spend the next decade getting dragged to court and in front of congress and so on and so forth.  Doesn't sound like fun to me, but maybe it is to him?

Anyway, good for you for getting up so early.  I wish you and Pepperturbo every success with your novelty tshirt kiosk.
