Those distances is pretty damn spot on for my 8i on course. I carry around 135ish with total around 140ish. Which is really all I'm trying to do is Gap with the right ball. People can say what they want but I've researched that R10 enough and pondered on it that I've seen plenty that the R10 is pretty darn accurate with Awesome golf being the better of the bunch.

It’s not just ball speed and distance that you want accurate data on. You want accurate spin, launch, peak height, and decent angle data. The lower priced launch monitors cannot give you those actual numbers because they use algorithms to ESTIMATE what those other data points are. Almost every reputable review will tell you it struggles reading spin correctly. Thus if it struggles reading spin, the peak height and decent are guesses at best. I’m not trying to bash your r10, just trying to help you find a solution to your original question about what golf ball would be best.

But R10 just came out with new Update That reads RCT which is now NOT calculated but actually read. And if you Google which I just did Those heights are pretty spot on for what they should be And so are the landing Angles. Spin could still be off a bit cause I was using foil Tape dot on the ball. But I'm VERY happy with the numbers this machine is putting out.

Also I'm using Awesome Golf not the Garmin app, It's been said by many the Awesome golf app is much more superior to the Garmin app.

Yeah and some people can't fly right out and pay 8000 for a foresight and also nearest Trackman to to me is almost 1.5hrs away!! So if the R10 is Just close (Which I honestly believe it is) to much data supports it, then I'm good using it. BTW I play to a 4hcp so I don't really need much.

No argument needed, but any review of the R10 and spin prior to the updates which work with RCT balls (or balls with metal dots on the cover) is no longer valid if it claims spin is calculated rather than read. It's true--but outdated--info. 

 

I've been doing a fair bit of research on the R10 lately, and that update resolved what was probably the biggest knock on the device's accuracy, and I think it's pushed me over the edge to order one.

And I've been using the RCT balls last 2 days and it's definitely Actual read spin now (No italics) and the spin numbers for me were much higher than using reg balls. The R10 is a pretty dang good unit for the price. That newest update was the bomb
