Yep, and also an interesting LET final season event with the 2 Swedes Linn Grant and Maja Stark duking it out for LET #1.

Plenty of good stuff to watch.

Royal Queensland GC looks awesome.  Great coffee golf.

Fun course to play, very spacious so you can spray them and still have a good day but as commentary keeps repeating missing the greens can be hazardous to your health.

Bit of trivia - RQ is the only golf course I've been to where I've gone to the pro shop prior to a round and they've greeted me with "good morning, unfortunately we sanded our greens this morning. Your green fees will be half price."

I wish more courses would do this!

They are good friends; they shared my friends apartment when they played the Women's Open Championship in the summer!

RQ's a fine course, particularly around the greens but it's not one of Australia's great courses (currently ranked 29).

However, great tourney course and fantastic atmosphere for the current event.

Can Smith right at home in his home town.

Can Smith X 2.

Looks like 4 round events haven't become a problem for Cam.

Lots of media requirements for him, plenty of distractions, the best golfer in the field but with all the other stuff, still did well to win.

Does this move him up from 3 to 2 in the world rankings?

I keep hearing people defend Cam's ability to play and win 72 hole events but haven't seen the people saying he can't compete and win them after joining LIV.

Now, if you want to discuss winning with this strength of field... that might be a discussion worth having. IIRC, the OWGR had it around a 58 which is about half of a normal KFT event.

There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Are you not reading the other thread... 3 round events aren't a prep for 4 round events apparently.

What about Joburg?

Dan Bradbury only gets a invitation last week, has to find accommodation away from the main hotel, gets a friend of a friend to hire him a caddie, then goes wire to wire to win in only his third DP World start.

Real fairytale stuff.

I had a small bet on van Tonder, but I still enjoyed seeing Bradbury, a fellow Yorkshireman, win.

A great wire-to-wire performance and, as you say, a fairytale story for the lad.

Because the majors will be the only times he will be in fields that are on his competitive level. If he at all thinks like a top athlete.

I suspect that he came to terms with that when he decided to sign for his family legacy fortune.

Seemed very happy in Brisbane back with his kin, he was the darling of the crowd.

Maybe the best player in the world right now.

I wonder if the main GOLFWRX home page will actually give us a WITB for Cam, like they do for most other event winners.  Or does their tie-in with the PGAT web site restrict that?

Yes interesting.

You would think one of the best players in the world would get a WITB for his win. At least he can win a major (and a Players) in recent times.

I watched the finish this morning and old Sami choked that win away. But Bradbury was steady and took advantage of the choke on 18.

Bland and Grace just had a top 8 on the DP the other week which had a strong field including Rory, Rahm, this whole 54 hole and how strong is the field dissecting is as comical as the OWGR itself.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

      Stealth 2

      Stealth 2 HD

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
