PXG ship times!

I just placed an order updating my driver, fairway and hybrids in the evening on Black Friday.  I just got the email confirmation they shipped today!

 

I was impressed and wanted to share that…

I think things overall have improved with golf clubs. A couple months ago I ordered my Callaway Apex Black's, I had them three days later. Even though their website said orders take 2-3 weeks. I was shocked.

Ordered a custom set on a Thursday and had them the next Tuesday. My experience with them has been phenomenal.

I SOOOOO wanted a set of irons. But after 2 sessions, I just couldn't find something better than what I hit.  I love my driver and putter though. I wanted to buy more gear just because the fitting experience was so good with those two clubs. And the turnaround time was great!

 

I hope you found something you love.

Ordered PXG GEN3 0311P irons (4-G) online on 18 November. They were delivered here in Kentucky on 25 November! Great service from an innovative company.

Shipping times great, shipping prices....not so much.  Was going to order a putter and driving iron, but $60 for shipping?  C'mon man.

 

Ordered the Gen4's a few weeks ago at their lowest price point and got free shipping, so I'll wait it out.

The fitting experience was great.  Had an hour but didn't use the whole time but never felt rushed and tried every graphite shaft with the heads.  I hit a ton of shots and got some good info.  Ended up ordering Gen 5 0311P with Accra shafts.  Unfortunately they were just better than the no upcharge shafts for me.  We started out with the stock shafts and went thru them all and these were noticeably better performing.  Now the waiting begins for them to get here.

PXG has excellent customer service and they turnaround orders and ship quick. Ordered gen4 irons a week later I received them. It does help that they are located in Arizona while I'm in California. 

 

I wish pxg would have a loyalty program where we could trade our irons for new ones. Meaning trading up to get newer ones.

PXG Hybrids. I fell for them and spent a butt load of money on them with custom shafts.  I wound up going back to my pings. Felt the pings were much more stable than the PXG Hybrids. 

 

I am not a fan of their woods / hyrbids. Have two sets of PXG irons.

Most people don’t know this, but if you happen to live close to a PXG store, you can have them shipped there for free.  I’m within 30 minutes drive time.  So, my shipping cost is $0.00.  Then, when I pick them up, I can hit them, check specs and make adjustments if needed / possible before I even bring them home.

I heard PXG was kicking around the idea of a club trade in/loyalty program of some sort.  I would love to see something like this and it could be a game charger if it is done right.

Shipping nearly everything seems to be improving. But there are businesses with some darn high shipping rates.

 

Ordered a bicycle from Colorado to Florida, 4 days to deliver and the cost was just $95. If you've seen the size of a bike box compared to a golf club box, 95 is dirt cheap.  Some places that cost can be as high as $250 for the same box, weight and service.

Yep. And another plus is leaving the box/packing material there.  Just throw the club in your bag and you're done.

 

My wife and I are both hybrid employees and WFH 4 days a week. She is realizing how much golf stuff I have shipped to the house!

I got a custom putter in five days to the northeast so they are doing something right. Sales rep contacted me right away to make sure it was exactly what I ordered. They are going to change the industry wether people like them or not. Just dealt with another company who lied over and over about a back ordered item until finally admitting they don’t have it. I would easily deal with pxg for the entire bag just based on customer service

Ordered new irons at PXG Paramus NJ and was told that the shipping fee would also apply if the order is shipped to the store.

You shouldn't have ordered the irons until they waived the fee.

Let's see they were founded in 2013 and they haven't changed the industry much if at all.  Good product, I'm sure. Marginally better than other OEM's? Better tech? Groundbreaking designs?  Ah no. Marketing? Pretty good. They've managed to create this "boutique experience" with their fitting centers and such. Creating an exclusive feeling along with all the weight screws showing on the backs of the irons.  Much like Tesla. Once again. not knocking the product but no better or worse than others. If it fits and works for you? Great and deserves your loyalty.

Ordered a custom set of Gen4 0311ST irons ( 8-GW) all 8 iron length and D3 SW. Ordered last Thursday and they arrived yesterday ( Mon) less than 5 days later   .... and I live in Ontario Canada ..... amazing.
