Tell me what you think

Very steep, swipey. Looks like it would cause some wrist/elbow problems hitting off that mat a lot.

Yeah, I've always been a bit steep in transition. I avg -6.5 aoa with 6i. Avg -8 with 8i.

So far, no more elbow or wrist issues than beating the turf. I have a rubber mat under the grass mat. I wouldn't ever put concrete down. Was using plywood initially and I definitely felt the occasional steeper than normal ones.

Not swipey tho. Can be at times, but not usually. Hit 41 8i shots that day and most ftp numbers were within 2 degrees (almost all open to path). I assume you can tell I'm a fader...

I’d be interested to hear montes thoughts here. To me it looks pretty darn good from FO. I think DTL is thrown off either from camera angle or just the fact you setup open. Maybe even a little of both.

I wish I could shallow a bit better. But that's a big change I'm not sure I desire to chase now. I've setup complimentary elements to play that slight OTT move. Club still tracks down the hand line, but hands definitely move toward ball in transition. I work hard to stay compact with the arm swing and practice tempo so that OTT move is lessened. I struggle when I get too fast or too "hit" oriented at the top.

This is off topic, but you look an awful lot like John Cena.  Are you a distant relative of his?  Brother from another mother?

I fight this like crazy. It's on the docket to address with my instructor in my next lesson, hopefully in the next few weeks.

I've been working on it the last few weeks. But there's a feeling in the takeaway that is odd. But nothing out of the ordinary shows up on camera.

One other thing, have you played around with just getting the club slightly laid off at the top of the backswing to make it easier on yourself to get where you want in transition? Attaching a pic below of what I view as ideal. Only reason I ask is you have a shorter arm swing and it might match up better to have the club slightly laid off.

Yeah, it's something I'm exploring.

To me, it seems the primary thing I need to do is get the right hand a bit more palm up at the top. I can get there easily. But doing so causes my arm swing to get a bit under (hand path too inside) and my path ALWAYS creeps toward neutral and it gets in to out quickly. So there's a matchup issue somewhere else that I have to find.

The interesting thing is that setting the wrists a bit more back than up produces a lot of good. But I need path to stay 2-4 degrees left. Haven't found that matchup yet.

Looks like hands are getting too far towards the ball rather than coming down closer to your hip but if you're wanting to play the fade then it isn't gonna kill you as your impact position looks pretty reasonable. One thought i've used on the down swing is feeling like my hands are coming to my right heel.

I think you have a nice backyard set up

Thanks man. Work in progress. Kid's swingset was in the middle of the yard until this summer. It had a 2x6 border with mulch in it. My wife cleared out the mulch and I had the leftover 2x6 pieces. So I used them. I had major tree/shrub cleanup to do the last 3 months. This shrubs on the fence line were about 15 feet tall. They hid the road in the background but they took several feet of space in the yard too. I'll put pavers on the near side of the mat so it's level and I have no weed issues. I'll put fake turf from the mat to the net. But that's in due time.

A sound wall is getting put up by the expressay authority soon. That wall you see is a retaining wall, they're moving a busy toll road closer to my house. The sound will will be nice once it's done.

It’s a good cut swing.  Camera angle makes it look steeper than it is.  Better wrist movements would improve it.  Not quite enough right wrist bend at the top and from p5 to p6.

Club is too open and that could be dangerous at times for one who cuts.

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

Haven't really paid much attention to this. What's the implication on path and face by being on my toes?

Contributes a bit to your out-to-in, steep club path IMO. When weight is out on toes your path gets pushed outward and you compensate by coming in steeper to make contact.

But with that being said in this video you are wearing squishy running shoes with a large heel to toe drop so that's going to exacerbate the issue.

More right palm up at the top? That's what I've been dabbling with.
