Most turtles scamper away when they feel the vibration from footsteps near the water. This little fellow came closer, and followed me as I walked along the waterline.

He's probably been fed by golfers. There is a pond near the 12th tee at Legends of Clermont (FL) where dozens of big turtles rush to the shore every time a cart pulls up to the tee because they sometimes get fed. It's BF Skinner .. intermittent reinforcement. I'll have to get a good picture next time I play there.

Unfortunately the cloudy conditions didn't do much for the photos. A pair of bald eagles nesting high in the trees above the 11th fairway at Oak Hollow GC in High Point, NC.
