Nike Golf Shoes - TW20 vs ZIT Next%

Recommended Posts

It is interesting to see what new Nike golfers wear for their shoe choice. Tom Kim is new to Nike this year and chose to wear the TW 20's for his first tournament. Scottie Scheffler famously wears TW 20's. For people that have worn them, what are your impressions? They have to be pretty good if a couple of the best players in the world choose them?

They're light weight, more of a classic style compared to the rest of Nike's stuff. I don't have any complaints with mine, but there's also nothing that I think is exceptional about them. If you want a premium feeling shoe, I'd look at the FJs or GFore, or there's plenty of sneaker like shoes that are easy to walk in. TWs just fit right in the middle.

pretty much this. There is a reason Tiger isn’t wearing them with his injuries. Just an average shoe

I do. I still play some amateur tournaments and have no issues with them, but that's about all I walk. I know some guys that walk every chance they get, and there's probably better options for straight comfort. Not that these aren't comfortable, just not their main focus.

I wore them throughout 2021, walking in them every round.  They are very light and thought they were good, until this past season when I switched to FJ Dry Premieres.  Day and night difference.  Nikes relatively not stable and materials poor quality compared to that shoe IMO.  Definitely the best looking spiked Nike shoe.  I think in reading the comments about Nike shoes here, it seems Nikes are more about style over substance these days.  Still crazy that they have not gotten TW back into a Nike.

There was a few years when Nike really got into golf equipment, around the TW 13 free shoes and Tigers shoes were pretty good quality with the TW 13, 14, 15. Then they got out of the golf equipment business and Tigers shoes went downhill. His next shoe was being sold at discount stores like TJ max.

Pretty much this. I like them, but there's nothing exceptional about them. Haven't had any issues walking 18, and they're easy to clean (I have a white pair too). I wish they made them with a BOA lace system like the victory tour 2s.

TW20 are comfortable and just a normal stable shoe that you can't go wrong with. The ZITs are more comfortable but I find myself slipping in them too often so have to watch what course I wear them on. This year ZIT I got a wider version and they are better (more stable and better traction) than the originals which were the worst golf shoe I've ever tried in my life.

did you get your normal size in the wide or did you still go up a half size

I'm a 13 but 12.5 wide and they fit good. Nike ZIT types fit so weird and are never right. Best bet is order a few and try them on and send the others back. I have to do that with every Nike golf shoe now.
