What driver are you gaming for the 23' season?

Getting the sense that I'm definitely not sitting at the cool kids table when it comes to equipment, but this year will be another campaign in the war between my Callaway XR16 driver (Hzrdus Smoke im10 shaft) and my Cobra 3100 i/h 3 iron. The wildcard will be my Haywood Golf SDI bent to 16*; when we get along, we GET ALONGGGGG.

 

My money is on the Cobra.

Titleist TSR 2 9 Degree - Ventus TR Blue 6S

Going to keep my PXG 0811X in play. Only got to use it on course once last year (got it on close out...) and I've been testing shafts in it over the winter. So far the candidates are a Matrix Black Tie 7M3 X and a Fuji Rombax Type-X 85XX.

Will also likely put some persimmons in play this year. Notably a Penna Mod 1 w/ X300 shaft... once I've refinished it!

Ping G425 Max listed in my signature, although I will be experimenting with a PXG Gen 5 0311XF with a light weight senior flex shaft (Otto Phlex).

G425 Max. I had it in play for the last half of the season and it really helped my accuracy. I have it setup as a slice killer, lofted up, draw setting, and another 7g of lead tape in the heel.

Will keep my Rogue ST Max. I only got it in late summer last year and I really like it. Improved my driving by a fair amount.

 

I'm not someone to change every part of the bag every year, and since driver, 4 and 7 wood just got upgraded, it will be at least another year or two. Irons will be next.

Mine will likely be a Stealth with a Ventus Red 6X. Although I do have a Ventus Black and an AD XC that I might put Ping tips on and try them in a G400 Max that I got for a steal this winter.

I also purchased the Grafalloy PLB 45.  I tried a Fuji Air Speeder 45, but wasn't satisfied with the results.

I grabbed an as-new TSi3 (8.0 degree, 44.5" w/X white 75g shaft) here for $250 last summer and love it. I bumped up the loft to 8.75 degrees and added 2 SW worth of tape, and even after testing it against 8 other drivers, nothing has beaten it out. 

 

It might be worth actually getting fitted, but based on just hitting so many drivers, it will be unlikely that I find some hidden gem that gives me an extra 10 yards. I will probably grab a similar TSR3 when they get cheaper here and this one wears out (I bet it has nearly 1000 swings on it by now, between range and play).

Secret Santa sent me a Stealth 2 Plus and I got it in the mail yesterday.  Can't wait to get out to the range and course to give her a spin!!!  Been reading and hearing that it launches and spins a bit more than the OG Stealth which is what I've been gaming all last year which sounds promising for me.

I was mad at my Sim 2 that I was fitted for at the Kingdom so I purchased a TSI3 9* with stock Tensei Black X.  I've been intrigued by Titleist for a long time because their loft sleeve is head and shoulders better than TaylorMade.  Loved the TSI3 so much that I ordered the TSR3.  Hopefully that will remain my gamer for awhile.  Very impressed with the Tensei Black so far.  May take it to my buddy at Club Champion to see if a Ventus beats it out. 

 

For reference, my Sim 2 was a 9* with a Tensei White tipped 1" and I honestly loved it for a long time.

I’m sticking with my Tour Edge EXS 220. I’ve been just over 60 percent hitting fairways the last 2 years with it. Before it was just over 50.

Current gamer is a G30 SFT which I just put a RDX Smoke Black in.

 

However, recently picked up a used ST-Z 220 head from a WRX'er, and put a Chrome Elements shaft in it. Only taken it to the range once, head is a bit light for the shaft so I rectified that with some lead tape. Looking forward to trying it out again.

Was playing a Titleist TSi3 9* last season, but will be trialing a recently purchased TSR3 10* with Diamana ZF60.  I'm hoping to gain some more consistency and fairways hit versus the TSi3.
