It could also be a spin thing. It’s MUCH easier in my opinion to take spin off a iron set P or A wedge then it is on a blade wedge style one .

And I think it depends on what you use the different wedges for.  Like all my shortgame stuff is essentially my 54-58-62 so I have blades in those, but I always play the set wedge as I don't hit lots of shortgame shots with it, and my guess would be a lot of it is driven by grinds/bounces available, but thats just my gut feeling.

Great call JT. Like my gap I just use for chipping or full shots. So could be just the set gap.
