Nike 90G vs 1G?

Has anyone tried both the Air Max 90G and Air Max 1G? Looking for a new pair of spikeless shoes. I had the 1G a couple years ago and they were VERY uncomfortable. How do the 90G compare? My current shoe is the Lunar Control V spikeless, love the comfort, but they've seen better days.

I have many pairs of both...and both are comparable, almost the same to me. As you said, VERY COMFORTABLE.

If you like the 1G, you shouldn't have any issues with the 90G.

For what it's worth, I've worn both off course too.

Thanks for the info. I actually find the 1G to be uncomfortable, so it's useful to hear they're similar. Think I'm going to try the Asics Gel Glide. Not the best looking shoe, but I find Asics running shoes to be real comfy. Hoping it translates to the golf shoe.

I prefer the 1G between the 2 but I have both. I also prefer the old sole of the 1G vs. this new sole they put on the 90s and this years 1G. The old one had more grip.

I’ve always worn 90s off the course (non golf shoes) so I was stoked when the 21-22 iterations came out in the golf market. They never worked for me. I wear a 10.5 in everything Nike and a 10 was too tight and a 10.5 was too loose in the 90g. The 1g fit true to size in both the leather version and the mesh one. The leathers held up better but don’t breathe as well. The mesh ones are a more comfortable wear but require cleaning after every round. I’ve learned to deal with it because the 1g looks sweet on the course. I’m curious for the ‘23 1g versions to see how they’ll hold up.

I have both and I basically can't wear the 90s; they're too narrow and kill my feet. The 1s are much better in this regard. It's like the 90s are a little more narrow and a lot more stiff. Note they're both the same size.

So I did end up getting the Asics Gel Glide. The Nike 1G and 90 are way better looking, but the Asics are the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever put on. I've run in Asics a bunch and the comfort translates to the golf shoe. The 1G was probably the least comfortable golf shoe I've tried. I wore them twice and had to sell them.

Take a look at the New Balance offerings for golf shoes. I have the fresh foam defenders and they are one of the most comfortable golf shoes I have. I have both AM1 and AM90 in both golf and regular. They are one of my all-time favorite Nike silhouettes. However, I can't walk 18 in either of them. I'm good for 9 holes in them. They aren't very comfortable for me either.
