I’m not familiar with baseball at all but many years ago playing in the US  I was paired with this guy who told me he was a retired baseball player. I’ve never seen someone spitting so much in a round of golf. He displayed an array of spitting techniques and styles.

I think its absolutely disgusting. Ive never felt the need to spit on a golf course. Theres players on the PGA tour doing it every hole.

Footballers do spit. Its also disgusting. It doesnt mean it makes spitting your way around a golf course right.

 

At least with the people ive played golf with, and its a lot in the UK, people in my experience havent spat their way around the entire course, and no one ive met is stupid enough to chew tobacco either.

Guess you can't read your own statement...you spouted off bollox about it being 'cultural' in the US and yet it is just as prominent, if not more, in the UK!  

 

It is simply a case of some people spit, some people don't.   You don't like, it - fine.   Don't turn something into a culture thing when it happens everywhere in every culture!

 just played Arklow and Down....spitting going on everywhere by UKrs including the group I was in from London!!  So No!
