Just ordered a set for my brother based on the email I got.  Don't expect them to be amazing, but much better than the 2000-era wedges I passed down to him before...

 

Two new Mizuno wedges for $118 with tax is hard to beat!

Just measured mine. Both slightly over 35 inches on my carpet and same size. Played 3 rounds so far and both clubs are solid performers over the Cleveland I just replaced. Grips are right and shaft is right.

 

eBay seller was bigbargainsoutlet. Seems they are selling the pair at 108 now. Might be a good sign since Maple Hill golf had the same set discounted to a similar price around the same time.

 

If the clubs fall apart on me I'll let ya know!

Just got the EBay set today.  Both serial numbers are the same (7059207) and no chromoly stamping on hosel.  That could be normal.  Curious to see what your pro shop said.

I haven’t had a chance to get them over there as of yet tbh. I ordered thru Maple Hill and the sales rep is going to send me a backup set to get the length issue squared away. From what I’ve read on these they are X30 steel - not chromoly. No info stated on if they are forged or cast, but I imagine cast seeing Mizuno always stamps the forging info on them if they are.

The grip and shaft seem correct, but it seems like the serial numbers should not match, but not sure.  Do your serial numbers match?  I see Maple Hill is located in Grand Rapids, that’s where mine were shipped from, by the Ebay company BigBargainBasement.  Also find a little odd that all have same grip and shaft options and others selling on Ebay are mostly selling modus 105 with the gray golf pride grips…

I have the same serial stamped on mine as well. From what I’m reading it’s a batch code I believe, not a true serial number associated with that specific clubhead. I think Big Bargain is Maple Hill’s eBay seller account. What shaft / grip did yours come with?

Modus 105 shaft and Golf Pride 4 grey grip, same as yours. Probably the real deal, just seems weird that they wouldn’t offer any different grip or shaft options.  Bought some counterfeit Taylor Mades years ago, so when something seems to good to true, I’m somewhat skeptical…seems they could went with a true temper shaft and a stock grip when buying in bulk!

It's a discontinued product.  The 923 product is out.  Once Mizuno drops a new set they discontinue manufacture of the older models. The Modus 105 was the stock shaft in the Hot Metals for a long time, the DG105 in the Forged, and then using AMT Tour White or KBS Tour in the Tour.  The Hot Metal Pro seemed to flip flop to either PX LZ or DG 105, depending on what they had in stock as I had seen both represented as floor models as different stores.  You guys got great deals on legit clubs.

If it helps, Mizuno used the same wedges for the 921 hot metal and hot metal pro sets, so that's why they just say quad cut grooves and don't say hot metal on them. Those never said chromoly on them. The wedges for the tour and forged sets were different and matched the set.

Got these out on the course last Sunday. Def impressed with spin, feel, distance consistency. Great wedges overall and for the price ($110 S+L) an excellent value. Dropped them off for a quick lie adjustment this morning but that’s just my preference and very playable right out of box. I usually like a heavier steel in my wedges but the nippon pro105 is solid. 👌 
Pic below is one I spun back off the fringe to a couple feet with a half swing about 35y from the hole with the 59*.
