Driver most similar to G430/G425/G410 but with 'clean' crown?

My best driving results over the past couple seasons have come from a G410 Plus, but I couldn't stand the sound and I don't like the 'fins' on the crown. It seems like the G430 Max has addressed the sound issue, but now they've made the crown even busier.

I tend to get along best with drivers with a bit shallower face and larger footprint vs. the deeper face, more workable drivers. I know the Ping drivers are king of MOI, but what have y'all played that's most similar to that but with better sound and a clean look? Currently playing the TSR3 because I fell in love with the looks, but this is what made me realize I play better with a shallower head, and it's a bit more demanding than I'd like. Current suspects are TSR2, Srixon ZX5 MKii, maybe the new Aerojet? Paradym and Stealth2 seem relatively deep, and I played the original Stealth briefly. I've hit a buddy's TSi2 a few times but never got along with it for some reason.

Check out Dan Hendriksen on YouTube. He just compared the G430 to the new Mizuno STZ 230.

I have the Mizuno 220 model and it is very good.

Mizuno STZ-220 : Ventus Red TR 7S or KBS TD 70g Cat 3 or Ventus Blue 6S

Titleist TSR2 4W : Tensei 1K Black 85-S

Cleveland Zipcore 50, 54, 58: Nippon Modus3 125 S

Piretti Potenza 370g : Breakthrough Technology Stability Shaft - 34"

I think the Paradym or however it is spelled is very similar in terms of forgiveness

Also concur with @jvincent, Mizuno drivers are very underrated.

TSR2 is fantastic. Rogue ST Max might appeal to you, as well -- it's arguably Ping-like minus the turbulators and minus a few grams of head weight.

Agree with you on the TSR2, it's a forgiving non-draw biased head for me. I personally couldn't get over how closed the Rogue ST Max face looks from address.

The non-draw biased nature of the TSR2 definitely appeals to me. I certainly don't need help moving the ball to the left.

This from someone who has used Ping drivers for 20+ years - try a Tour Edge E722.  Shallow face, high MOI and much better feel.

The C722 is solid, but crown does put some people off.  I have had good results with it.  TEE will be releasing C723 in next couple weeks.  Not sure if true but think it will be a more traditional look.  Movable weight in the bottom to include changing front and back and sliding weight in back.

For me, the E722 reacted more like a Ping driver - very forgiving with reasonable spin.  I did not like the C722 as much.

I completely agree, the Titleist just look all business. I did look at all the TSr drivers. I fell in love with the look of the 3 even though I knew the 2 would fit my profile better...the heart won out over the head.

The easiest choice would be to just go with the TSr2, but I figured if I'm going back to the drawing board I may as well see if there were any stones left unturned.

been in pings forever, well back the the ISI when ping leaped the field in performance and bad looks.  They were the first, I think, to use a face that had a pad (for lack of a better tern) behind the ball to expand the sweet spot and it worked a charm.  The RUS hosels (they had a few choices to go upright flat etc) hosels were also a first (short of bending the thing).  Anyways my last Ping (so far) was the 410+.  went to see the 425 and just wasn't liking the sound or flight.   maybe should have waited for the 425 LST but while testing tried a SIM MAX.  loved the sound and the flight.  over time it proved to be as forgiving as a ping for me and I liked the sound.

You'd wonder why I now have a Stealth in the bag and the reason is it's even more forgiving, and I like the sound even more.

spent years in the ping realm and played well with them. never liked Taylor for some reason or another but finally tried one and am now a Taylor made guy.

unless you have some aversion to the brand I would recommend trying either the SIM MAX or Stealth out.

Got a ST Max from Callaway CPO and struggled with it going left.  Swapped it out for a Max LS this week and it was a lot more neutral.  My ball flight was back to a slight draw back to the target line rather a ball that started right then passed hard left back over the target line.

I switched from Ping drivers a few years ago (G30 LST was last I played). I bought a Sim Max and ended up hating the feel of it so I switched to a PXG 0811X Gen 4. Loved the feel of it (felt a lot like my G30) but wanted something a little faster so got in to a Stealth+. It’s definitely faster but doesn’t seem much more forgiving than the PXG. It also tends to launch lower and spin less which, for me, I already don’t get much driver spin. So now I’m trying a Callaway Rogue ST TD LS lofted up. The skin numbers are good and the launch is higher than the Stealth+. It also feels closer to the Ping drivers I was playing before going another route. Suffice to say, when I get some time next weekend I plan to give the G430 a try.

I played both G410s and G425s. I found the TSi3 to be better than all 4 ping models. Maybe not as forgiving as the 425 max but, longer and more forgiving than people would make it seem. Can’t beat how good TSi line looks. I haven’t hit the 430, but don’t want to with the results I’ve had with the TSi3
