Callaway UW order cancelled - what next?

Hi all

 

I had ordered a 21° UW as a 215-220 yard club. Order has been cancelled so back to the drawing board.

 

Already have a fitting booked this week for a 22° G430 Hybrid for the 4 iron replacement/200 yard shot so need something to sit alongside where the UW would've been...

 

Hit Hybrids better than FW woods, easy decision to get another lower lofted hybrid? (next longer club is a 16.5° 3HL).

 

Would go

 

Driver - 260-270

3HL - 230 (ish)

19° Hybrid - 210-220 yards

22° Hybrid - 200 -205 yards

5 iron - 190-200

 

G430s would give me the flexibility to alter lofts to hit the right windows..

 

Sound thinking?

 

Around a 6 HC, as mentioned, better with hybrids than woods (hence not really looking at a 7 wood etc)

I think so, makes sense and going with 2 x G430 hybrids should blend seamlessly.

 

Might be a blessing in disguise really as I'd not tested the 21° UW w/ Tensei Blue and at least I'll be able to hit the demo 430s on Thursday and get the gapping right ✅️

For sure.  I played taylormade m3 hybrids for years before going to a 5 wood

Check out Tour Edge Exotics and PXG. Both offer good player preferred looking hybrids that also pack in excellent forgiveness. I game a 17* Tour Edge C721 hybrid as well as a 21* UW and the Tour Edge performs just as well as the UW.

OH.. UK.. I was just looking at the US website and they still show in stock. So I was confused.

Picked up a 19 degree UW to replace 5 wood. Its a beast, lol.

Hope you can try one, these are impressive.

Well lucky for you there was also thousands of those produced!

 

Joking aside I'm really not understanding your train of thought. You were set on a club build, ordered it, and you are abandoning it just because it was cancelled one time through one vendor? There are other ways to get the exact club you want...
