Absolutely love it but it's still the toughest course I've ever played. #4 green is the work of the Dark Lord Mephistopheles himself.

The toughest 6,123-yard course you will ever play.

We were playing a tournament (fun) so we all teed off from the white markers, but before we did me (being a single-digit) thought it would be better to play one set back at 6,534 yards, about where I normally play.

What the hell was I thinking? If you're getting too big for your britches, go play Spyglass from the back tees and be humbled : )

Cypress Point and the two MPCC courses too.

Few things more hilarious than watching some octogenarian in green golf slacks, running at the herd of deer in front of a MPCC green, swinging a wedge, and yelling to get them out of the way of his shot...  Not an infrequent sight---there are a lot of deer in the Del Monte Forest.

Those big dumb forest rats are a real nuisance without any natural predators for sure.

It is fun to play the par 3 over the water at MPCC dunes with a small gallery though

Haha last time I played it - around my birthday in 2019 - I was in the first group off at 7:45 in the morning; just me and one other dude. Was kinda awesome practically having the course to ourselves.

Anyway, it was the first time he'd played it - should note, he turned out to be a damn good player - and the caddies were asking us what tees we wanted to play. Being on vacation and knowing the course and not wanting to get beat up too bad, I was like "Let's just do the whites." Dude was like " ... 6100 yards?" One of the caddies was like "Yeah, don't pay attention to that." "Why?" "It's not called Spyglass Flats."

We cut the difference and teed off from the blues. At the turn, dude was like "Yeah, we shoulda played the whites." 😂

Keith Mitchell is a really good player. I could get behind him winning this week. I remember Rory played with him and had really complementary things to say about Keith’s game, which is obviously a huge compliment given Rory said it.

Watched a video of Keith Mitchell playing with a couple of the Good Good kids. Seems like a solid dude and was pretty funny. Like a toned down Kevin Kisner.

I just flipped on the broadcast...it was Todd L giving some kind of report (an accident or something)  and he was very emotional.

I can't find anything on Google or Twitter...who/what was he reporting on?

Can we at least be consistent and direct the same amount of internet rage at Justin Rose’s Nike shoes that was directed at Sam Ryder’s pants last Saturday?

I have already ordered and received the same joggers Sam wore last week. Rose’s shoes on order! (Raise the roof emoji)

It sounds like a caddie for one of the Am's had some sort of cardiac event on the course.  He's alive from what I read but needed immediate and serious help.

Here you go. Caddie for an amateur player collapsed on the course. Was given CPR.

It would take much more than shoes to reach the level of rage that was shown toward purple sweat pants.

A player with a bluetooth speaker hanging off of their belt that was playing KC and the Sunshine band would come close imo.

  • GwrxMod changed the title to AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (*** NO LIV DISCUSSIONS/REFERENCES ***)

I’ve watched a lot of the coverage of the first two rounds, and have been pleasantly surprised that they aren’t forcing the celebrities too much. An occasional shot here and there, but no Bill Murray, no Carlton. My wife was in the room and only half watching and even commented “isn’t this a pro-am?”

and I loved it that the wind came up on Friday to make Pebble more challenging for them.

Celebrity forcing is always on Saturday.

Did Kurt Kitayama switch over from the DP Tour to the PGA this year? Or is it just a one off event? Would be cool to see a guy who grinded it out in Europe come back and win a tournament.

He played the PGA Tour last year and finished 41st in the FedEx standings. He got in via the Korn Ferry Tour finals the previous season.

Where are all the ams and celebrities and athletes?!

I like see the different swings. Some guys really get around, is fun to see reactions on good shots and more fun on bad shots!

Is boring see Mitchell and Bramlett on trading putts on Saturday. And Spieth gets too much coverage. I like him but don’t need to see him trying to get up and down….for bogey.

After all the posts complaining about the am’s, you come in and complain about not enough coverage of them! Lol
