I've recently picked up the hobby of photography. I absolutely love it. It's really gotten me out to experience some of Florida's little know places. So I wanted to start a thread and see if anyone else shares this passion.

Please post up your favorite pictures that only you yourself have taken. Share a story behind it if you want to let us know more about the pictures. I want to see some shots that other WRX'ers have come up with. No limit on how many you post. Please include a link to your Flickr account if you have one!

Those are all Fujichrome Velvie iso 50, scanned on my epson 3170. My wife bought me a Rebel xti for my birthday and I have really been enjoying the new digital freedom. I will have some new shots up on my site soon. I hope some other wrxer's jump on this thread.

I just got into it as well...

 

I'm finding out that I love hobbies that have a lot of gear involved...golf, skiing, photography. All related. Here is a link to my stream and what is currently my shot with the most "interestingness."

Once I got my first digital camera in 2000 it was all over...far too much money spent on camera gear but I have loved every minute of it and there is always something to learn.

 

I took over 12000 photos in 2007 so faves are a real toughie, my Flickr account does not get a lot of use so here are a few I was fond of in '07.

 

The first was taken at an airshow where my intention was to photograph planes until my cousin spotted "the Dog".

 

The other is a spooky house I took doing a photo walk in New Orleans.

This thread just made me dig out all my old prints and negatives from back in the day. Once I hook up the scanner, pics coming soon. I've been meaning to digitize all my old prints, this thread is the kick in the butt I needed to get to it.

Here are some from this past Wednesday. I don't know if any of you know, but Alex Roy drove across the country in a record time of 31 hours and 4 minutes. His car was brought out to our local car meet this week. Here are a few shots.

Thanks! That was just available light. Made a few tweaks with Lightroom. But the orange that is in the wheel is from a street lamp. Here is a comparison of the original vs. the final edit.

I just added some black fill, dimmed the brightness, saturated a few colors, and added some lens vignetting.
