Just starting to get serious in photography again. and if you think golf club ho'ing is expensive wait till you start ho'ing photo gears.. lol I've actually sold some of my putters to get some good photo gears..ouch!

Wow, Ronn, that's a heavy line-up.

 

How are you enjoying the D300 and what did you have before that? Considering one myself these days but with the price of acquiring used D200's it is making the jump to the 300 a tough one. Love my D50 but it's time for some more hardware to add to my growing collection of glass and gadgets.

 

Man...it's a long way from my first Olympus 1.3MP back in 99!

What do you feel you are getting out of the 300 that the 200 did not do for you?

 

Any regrets or was the 300 the right call?

I just want the latest...hehehe seriously I needed better high iso performance. Its a good upgrade imo.

This happened to me last month and forgot to share...

 

Last week I went to play golf and saw an awesome building on the way I wanted to go back to when I had my camera. I had today off and decided to head back and check it out. I snapped a few pictures outside of it. Then I poke around and realize the goldmine down below. So much cool stuff to take pictures off. So I go down for about 20 minutes. I wish I had better equipment though. But anyways, I come back up to my car and see an old man standing there. "You know you're trespassing? Don't bother getting in your car, the State Police are on there way." First cop gets there and seems pretty cool. Just the usual, "Where are you from? What are you doing? How'd you find this place?" I explain photography is a hobby of mine and asks to see the camera. He looks through the pictures and gives it back. Then asks for my license. While he's back in his car, another car shows up. Think about your stereotypical ****** bag cop. "Alright Jim whatda we got here?" First cop gets back out and says "Well he was down in the building taking pictures. I looked at them and they look artsy." "What do you mean artsy?" The first cop points to me and I said, "Well it's a hobby. I enjoy taking pictures of cars and run down buildings. I didn't mean to cause any trouble." Jackass says to me, "You don't take pictures of little kids do you?" I wanted so bad to say something but I knew I'd only dig myself a hole. I laughed and said, "No way sir." Then they asked me to open my hatch to make sure I didn't steal anything. Then they asked about the euro plate I have on the rear of the car. So I just popped it off and put the Florida plate back on. Just got a verbal warning. It amazes me how SOME cops can be such *****s and get away with it. At least the first cop there was pretty chill. Anyways, here are the pictures...
