Like it.

I hope this new group is appreciative of the different tastes in music, golf attire, and on course beverages.

yeah, the new radicals one was not one of my favorite of that time - I would go more The Fray/Owl City/Kings of Leon (wow, those are blasts from the past).

The Band Perry are fairly local to me (and I think one is/was a pretty good golfer).  Im a fan of most country.  Apple has a back porch country play list that ranges from new to Waylon to Brooks & Dunn...

Due to injury, vacation, and illness I hadn't gotten up early to do a strength workout since 2022, I have done some cardio in the interim, but not too much.

I felt every. single. second. of the event this morning as the spry young woman walked us through a series of strength movements all while speaking animatedly about why this is important to me.

I can't help but feel the endlessness of it all.  If I stop, I backtrack, if I keep it up it never gets easier since the key is to push one's self.

Human hamster, meet the wheel.

I can totally relate to this.  With my back an shoulders it's might be a painful endeavor. Age doesn't make anything easier.

I have a big family event to go to next month and needed a suit.  So I go digging in the closet and find my 8 old suits.  Take to the tailor and no bueno.  I lost enough weight and even recutting the suit isn't an option.  So I had to buy 3 new suits as a result.  So today I'm going through my old dress shirts.  Every single one looks like a dress.  This is getting expensive.  So I get done with this exercise and am staring at the work out area I have in the attic with my office.  I just start thinking maybe I should start using all this stuff so that I don't go backwards.  I just hate that I don't have the motivation I did when I was younger, you would think bagging up $7-8000 in clothes would provide enough motivation.

Obviously buzzed guy is watching the Grammys.  The Mrs and I were flying to Miami years and years ago.  When we’re young.

MN to Miami, a bunch of inner city kids were on the plane and this mountain of a man was in the seat in front of me.  A freaking mountain.

A little kid taps me on the shoulder since the “mountain” was sleeping.

”Will you get me his autograph?  Are you his body guard?”

I had no idea who it was, and told the boy I didn’t know who it was and I was not his body guard.

”Dude, that’s the ROCK!”

The Rock lives not far from me and I used to go to the same gym as he

He is huge some of the time and not quite as huge other times ( the special " vitamins ")

He does a lot of fairly light weight cable stuff  when on the stuff

just throwing it out there, but this can be said about literally every thread on this forum.

I don't think the big ball of rock at the base of the bridge looks too bad.  It's different, but something had to be done because everyone runs out off the street to get the pictures.  It isn't just the golfers, it has become a thing for anyone going to St Andrews.

doesn’t bother me in the least bit. it’s just a little bridge on a golf course.

chisag, did you play any BTO in your days on the air?  They were played heavily in the Detroit area and I was a fan. BTO was a solid Canadian rock and roll band.

If he didn't he wasn't playing Rock and Roll.😄 Randy Bachman played with The Guess Who when they were at their finest.

I've supported the tear the Eagles have been on all season. I like both teams in this Sunday's contest. This will cause MIA to have another rum in disgust and it also will get Reid to raise a toast. I see a close battle the entire game. In Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce I put my trust.

Without going to the other thread, I think I have Eagles 34-27, but I’m starting to have second thoughts, and when I changed Picks I lost every time, so I’m fighting the urge to make a change.

On an actual golf note, I might be able to hit the range on Friday, weather looks good and might be able to squeeze in a good practice before my doctors appointment to review MRI.

... We did although not heavily and I wasn't a fan. Frankly I didn't really care for a lot of music I played. As much of a travesty it is I never cared for BTO, Boston, Rush, REO, Journey or similar bands. Just never heard them in the South growing up or my first 5 years in radio.

... Hmmmm, interesting question. At that time there were so many one hit wonders that we played on the radio. But top bands as best I can remember from 71-76 as I can't narrow it down to 3:

Beatles
Stones

3 Dog Night

Doobie Brothers
CSNY
Steely Dan
CCR
Allman Brothers
Eagles
Aerosmith

That works. Big list of heavy hitters for sure.

.....and the caller from Wilmette would like to make a request. These two please.

I hope the MRI shows something which won’t require a surgery.  I have heard the shoulder is the most complex joint and the most difficult to recover after a surgery.

The shoulder is why I stopped playing baseball in college.  I had a friend that tore his rotator cuff and his rehab wasn’t something I wanted to go through.  I would have to think long and hard about any surgery, I have had enough already in my life.

Uncle Charlie and His Dog Teddy

... We watched Nitty Gritty Dirt Band at ECU and West, Bruce and Lang played the next night. But we found out The Dirt Band was playing at Atlantic Christian College and we piled in a van and went there. Concert was for students only but I BS'ed our way in. Unbelievable show!

😆 Bring it rookie.

NJBF I have been in the basement or at best the middle bottom half in the standings for 5 years in row. The sliver medal tastes sweet already.  Perhaps you were my lucky charm?  I sensed immediately that you would be an all star in our group.
