Was deployed when I found this family, since then, well let's say my bank account have taken many hits (the definition of a club ho), but I got to meet some of you personally (2015 Driver testing), hence why I call this a family, learned a lot more about the game and equipment, love this place...

... had no idea I wasn't a real golfer unless I played MB's. I got to a + index through practice and hard work with Players CB's but since joining WRX I now know all I had to do to be a better ball striker was switch back to MB's that I played for quite a few years before finding Z101's and started improving. Had I stuck with MB's I might be on the Senior Tour today.

Before wrx:  I pretty much sucked at golf

 

After wrx:  Well, I still suck.  But I have a lot more clubs to suck with.

Used to be pretty active on Golf Equipment Afficiando 4GEA.com  Then the board kind of just died.  Got very into practical shooting (USPSA) for 7-8 years.  Back to golf.

I actually was a club ho before joining, now I have a place where I know there are others like me. Honestly if I hadn't won the full bag fitting from club champion through here, I'd probably be more of a club ho. Now, if I can just get over the mental block of my favorite club being over 10 years old, my bag will probably be set, except for wedges every 2/3 years. 

 

Edit to add, I had no clue about iron lofts.

I learned it the hard way.   After a heated exchange on the third hole tee box and on the edge of fisticuffs with the club's GM, I was escorted off the course.  In the parking lot, I removed my socks and threw them at the starter.  He and two cart guys then started in with me.

Then I found WRX and they accepted me for who I am.  Many members offered advice like, "just wear your tube socks at home" or "roll them them down at the club." 

 

That's why I LOVE this place.
