I'd guess that with all folks taking  photos of this landmark that they can't grow grass there.

There are limits to what you can do to enforce crowd behavior.

 

Obviously, you can't tell kids to keep out of the sand dunes and expect them to listen to you.

But, you can plant poison ivy there and post warning signs!

They all stand on the bridge, but clearly a staging area.

Until I see something official from the trust - I'm not buying it. But if true ... ooooooof, there's gonna be some serious backlash. As a Vegas dude; I don't get all that attached to old structures really (well, except what they did to my beloved Powerhouse in Hollywood) but THAT is a sacred spot.
