Golf Pride Grips - Real or Fake?

These are for sale quite cheap with a local seller...

 

Any ideas?

"quite cheap"=fake 99% of the time. Distributer cost is only a few bucks less than retail on GP grips

most online now are fakes. Take it for what it is and their basic function. You can pay $12 dollars a piece at your local retailer or grab some for less than half that. Just purchased some for $62 dollars for 13 shipped. My hands don’t complain so i’m good with it.

I’m not a Golf Pride guy but they do seem to have a normal amount of cord in the top half.  Most fakes I’ve seen are pretty skimpy on the cord.  I guess it would be tough to tell without feeling and smelling them though.

Won’t purchase eBay or Amazon grips claiming to be real Golf Pride. And you shouldn’t either, regardless of price.

If it does not have the Golf Pride shrink wrap with a bar code. I would not buy it.

If they smell like chemicals or gasoline they are fake. As scarce as grips are right now, nobody would be discounting authentic ones.

Plenty of fake grips with the wrapper and barcode have been sold. Seen and handled plenty of these knockoffs in the repair shop.  Buyer beware out there!
