Most forgiving driver?

Several Pings are going to be tops on MOI but seeing as Ping still doesn't give you a lifetime of ear plugs, don't sleep on the Rogue Max, older Bertha 21 if you do slice a bit, some PXG offerings as well.

Forgiving varies based on player...if you are the common slicer the draw based high MOI help with face delivery and anti-curve.

Others want to retain more ballspeed/spin off center as a forgiving club (that's me) with a neutral face which is not the D style models.

The G425 Max is so forgiving for me that it makes it much more difficult to feel where I’ve struck it on the head (the ball also doesn’t make a mark). The adjustable weight in the back is great if you have a consistent miss in the heel or toe. That in combination with the normal hosel adjustments make it a nice choice for a ton of people.

Obviously the one in my sig.

will say the stealth is sneaky forgiving. I find I’m out about the same kind of regardless of my contact, unless I sky it.  Shorten the shaft a tad and add a heavier tail weight on it and have at it.

Another vote for the G400 Max.  I have hit longer drivers, but I still have yet to find one that hits more fairways regardless of where I hit it on the face.   That includes the G430 Max (although I did not find a shaft that felt right. The Tour 2.0 feels whippier than the Tour)

You don't need ear plugs with the G430 (fact) I know a few guys that hit the SFT model and average 280+ and in the fairway alot. They have a slight OTT move and still roast it.

Anyone have experience re: forgiveness between the G400 Max and the LST? Used to play a 10.5* Max and while it was point and shoot, it launched and spun too high for me. I've always been curious about how a 10* LST model would compare, or rather to move down to a 9* Max head.

Tried the 430 versions this weekend and shaft for shaft they were remarkably similar. My delivery was all over the place, so that probably had a lot to do with it but they were both outstanding

I picked up a G425 Max on the bay. Waiting for it to come in.. Is the Max with the weight in the heel the equivalent of the SFT or am I missing another characteristic?

Weight in the back is fade bias, weight in front is draw, weight in middle is neutral. I think you will be happy with the 425.

the SFT weight is further in the heel and the weight itself is lighter on the SFT. I tried both the Max and SFT ended up keeping the SFT but put the Max weight in it. But Max is very solid especially if you can occasionally hit a draw.

I’m going to try the Max out and if I can’t get it sorted then I’ll look for a SFT head to play with. Thanks for all the info!

I found the 11 gram weight in the G430 SFT HL with the light shaft actually works better than any previous model with more draw weighting. Kept the weight in the Draw + setting.

According to the Spy site's most wanted driver test this year, the Tour Edge Exotics E723 is most forgiving.  Forgiveness can mean different things to different people and rate overall forgiveness in the following criteria:

"Typically, forgiveness is tied to MOI (moment of inertia) or how much MOI a golf club has. Our forgiveness category takes a deeper dive into how forgiveness translates to the golf course.

Carry Delta – The difference in yards between the longest and shortest shot hit by each tester with each golf club.

Ball Speed Delta – The speed difference between the fastest and slowest shots hit by each tester with each golf club.

Shot Area – In its simplest form, dispersion. Picture the ellipse associated with most launch monitor software that surrounds a grouping of shots. The tighter the circles, the better. However, at the same time, a club can have a tight grouping and not be the straightest."

Rick Shiels couldn't miss the fairway with the Paradym X, so that is probably the answer.  😂  For what it is worth, he said it is probably the most forging driver he had ever tested.

I have the G400 max 10.5 and G400 LST 10. I am a low launch higher spin player with my driver.  My miss is typically left with a draw. I prefer the LST, it is very neutral, looks great behind the ball and I find it to be very forgiving but it can spin a little more than I like. It has been in the bag for a couple of years and is still the leader to be in the bag this year. G400 is bigger, spins more, looks a little closed to me but is amazingly forgiving and as others have said is almost point and shoot. It will not go as far but will find lots of fairways or at least avoid bad misses. If my swing has gone to s*** I will play the G400 max until I can fix my swing.

I can pull numbers from the simulator with both drivers using the same shaft if you are interested. The difference isn’t as much as I expected. Both drivers spin more than others.
