a good friend of mine caddied for Darren Clark about 3 years ago when he showed up pretty much un announced at a very nice private club. He was in town doing some business and wanted to play Salem. Well my buddy caddies there and got Darren's bag for the day. Well he said Darren was a totally awesome guy, a real guy's guy and of course he tore the course in half. He said it was a great experience. Funny story, the 18th hole is a dog leg right, a very tough tee shot, you can cut the corner if you hit it solid. Well my buddy gave Darren the low down on how to hit the tee shot well before they got to hole. They somehow got a good look at it before hand and my buddy is a real good player and Darren knew it so took his advice, so they get to 18 tee and 2 of the members playin in the group decide to give Darren advice on how to hit the tee shot as he puts the tee in the ground on 18. Darren looks at the member (with no disrespect of course) and say. "don't worry, I got it down already" or something along those lines and rips one absolutely perfect around the corner. My buddy did a great impression of Darren and all his manerisms, with the cigarette in teh mouth and everything, just like you would expect a cool guy from Ireland. He said the entire day was a huge thrill and Darren was very down to earth and a great guy.

From my experiences this past week at the Sony...Thomas Levet was a riot. Really surprised me with his humor. I didn't expect it from him, but the guy was really funny. If he ever reads this, Thomas, I'm with you on the twenty yard fairways with 100 foot tall pine trees lining the fairways. :birthday:

 

Jerry Kelly was another extremely nice guy and also very funny. Very approachable and very "just happy to be a pro and with fans" kind of guy.

 

Jason Gore was very approachable. I hope he can continue his great attitude in the future.
