21 Apex Pro Users, what irons did you move on to?

Currently gaming 21 Apex Pro Irons. They perform well but with a baby on the way I’m wondering if there’s a good players look iron with more help for off days. 
 

Not chasing distance, just forgiveness. Still prefer a players look and thinner sole design with more forgiveness. Seems like this iron is a unicorn that doesn’t exist, so looking for insight from players that used to game the 21 apex pros, what you moved on to and thoughts on the change.

I have been looking hard at i230, new Cobra King Tours, Mizuno pro 223, or possibly jpx 923 forged. 

Sole width on the Cobra and i230 are wider than I prefer. Ultimately these irons all sit in a similar space as my apex pros so not gonna upgrade unless I can find a nice bump in forgiveness.

I might have a look at the new JPX forged line from Mizuno based on what you describe. I don't have a lot of experience with the new sets--But historically the JPX forged was always a decent sized club while still maintaining great feel and playability. Like you said a more forgiving players club

I really regret not ever gaming these irons.  People complained about the feeling but I always thought they felt great.  I am deciding right now between the Ping i230's, MP223's and Cobra's.  I tried the JPX tours and T100 and didn't find them to be as forgiving.  I like the t100 from 7 iron but from 4-6 I struggled and I'm not a fan of the T200. I am not looking for distance either, just consistency and forgiveness.  I went for a fitting last week and the Ping's were the leader.   I am heading back today to confirm.  I plan on playing one set this year and then trying the new Callaways when they come out in the fall and seeing.

Thought maybe you’d want an update.  I ended up going with the Cobra Tours.  I also tried the TCB’s and they were awesome and pretty forgiving  for their size but the earliest they can deliver is May 31st and the new model may be out in a few months from then.  It came down to the Pings and the Cobras.  The dispersion was almost a horizontal line for the Tours and they felt better than the Pings.  They were the dark horse, I couldn’t argue with the data.  I’ve never gamed anything Cobra so I’m looking forward to it.  If it helps I’m a 5-6 handicap and am coming from Mizuno MP SC 18s.  I’m looking forward to the Apex refresh but also looking forward to these for this season at the least.  Cheers.

I’ve been looking forward to your fitting result. Sounds like I need to give the Cobras a solid look as well.

After cracking my apex pro 4 iron I went back to a forged CB. Picked up a set of P7MC raw irons and haven’t looked back.
