Can Additional Scoring Lines be Milled Onto a Fairway Wood Face

Came across a Nike SQ 3+ 13* Fairway Wood on eBay for a pretty good deal and I was really looking to getting one just to have but I really dislike the groove orientation on the face and I was wondering if there were any customizers out there that could connect the scoring lines on the face. I'll attach a picture below and send a mockup of what I am looking for

On a forum full of club sickos, i think this is the best post yet! You're after something close to impossible, and you want to do it to an old worthless club! Brilliant. 

 

I have two suggestions though- hunt out the Nike Ignite T60 instead, ideally tour issue so theres no markings on the crown. That has full face scoring lines, and was an awesome three wood. 

 

The closest I think you could get to milling would be laser engraving in between the gaps to at least join the groooves up. This would just be a surface finish a bit like in this wedge below.

faces are so thin nowadays it would be risky. Not to say it can't be done but I wouldn't

Sure you can - but I dont believe it would be legal/conforming for tournament use after.

If u try to etch with a file or dremmel or engraver you will likely create stress risers which upon repeated impact will lead to a cracked face. If u look at the scoring lines under a microscope I’ll bet they are U shaped so as to avoid sharp corners.

I just found a basically brand new Left Handed TOUR ISSUE Ignite T60 and bought that thing immediately! Guy was located in Beaverton, OR too which is pretty sweet. Thanks so much for the recommendation

 

Now to find the modern shaft that will let me hit this as far as my current 3 wood so I can convince myself to put it in the bag...
