MGI Zip Navigator vs. Motocaddy M7 Remote?

I've read the other threads .... Looks to me like it's a coin toss between these two ..... I play Pete Dye course with lots of mounding and tall fescue and want to navigate remote and (big deal) not have cart tip over!  Live on course so transporting cart not a big deal.  Spoiled so won't play with this push cart in rain.  63 year old reasonably fit guy fwiw.

Anyone have strong preference for one or the other ?

Thank you.

Have the MGI Zip Navigator AT and my buddy has the Motocaddy M7. Personally I think both are great and makes life on the course much more pleasurable. M7 packs down better for transportation. Both have great remote control distances. Speed wise are both identical.

In my opinion the Navigator AT has better accessories options such as the sand bottle holder and the personal seat. My buddy always steals my seat when the cart isn’t in motion…..just plop your a** down and your golden! Both are great remote carts!

Here is a review of both carts side by side.

Alphard ewheels with clickgear. The click gears have much better handle layouts and are exceptionally stable.

Thanks for this insight. Actually just yesterday I played with one of my friends who has this Alphard/Clickgear set up, and he told me that he previously had the zip navigator and it tipped over a lot at our course, whereas the set up like this he has now has never tipped.

The Alpard is a great unit, no doubt about it, and it will save a few hundred dollars IF you already have a good push cart and the accessories you’ll want/need.

That said, there are a couple of things to keep in mind about the Alpard.  You’ll want/need a swivel front wheel on your push cart,:and if it’s a Clicgear, that accessory changes the way the cart folds up.  Also, there is will be no handle control; only the remote.  Finally, the Clicgear with the Alpard becomes really wide, and there are foot bridges on some courses that are wide enough for a push cart or other electrics, but NOT for the Alpard.  Same with doorways, btw, if you store the cart at your club.

I've had my MGI AT for closing in on 3 years.   I liked the AT because of the wider front wheel base.   One of the guys who plays in my group has the Motocaddy.    Neither one of us has tipped over the cart.   It basically takes common sense.   The only guys I've seen do that are ones who stupidly think you can go on a staight line up an inclined hill at the highest speed with a golf bag full of clubs, where most of the weight is at the top of the bag and at the back of the electric cart (where the battery and other objects are).    All you have to do is either slow it down and/or, on a really steep hill, kinda take it at an angle.  It also helps to ensure the bottom of the bag has some weight, either through a lot of balls, a 3 or 5 lb weight, something along those lnes.

I'm about as cheap as they come.  I never would have bought the AT if it had been up to me.   But now almost 3 years later I can fully say it is worth every penny.   My knees feel better.   My back feels better.   And my body feels like I've had a caddie for the entire round.   It feels like I've just finished a walk around the neighborhood.

I’ve had my MGI Zip Navigator AT for 3 years, just passed 1,000 miles.  Purchased from Costco.  Never tipped over and I play a lot of hilly courses.  Didn’t use the seat the first year, big mistake.  It’s one of the best features.  Great to have when you’re waiting on the tee box for the group ahead.  The charge connection on the remote broke at 14 moths, just out of warranty.  But MGI still replaced it at no charge.  Great cart, especially helps the shoulders, eliminating pushing or carrying up hills.

I bought the Carttek GRi-1500Li V2 last year and is very stable.  I play a hilly course and do not have any tipping issues.  The rear wheelbase and weight keep it grounded.   I did have 2 tips with it, but both were user error from me not paying attention.  You cannot go wrong with any of your choices.  Nothing like a nice walk on the course without the having to carry or push.

My only issues are if I use any other bag than their Carttrek bag, it twists, and it does not fold up as compact as the others.
