Familiarity with the setup (Rose Zhang's 4th participation at ANWA) = likely she is the favourite to win this year?

The thing with Rose is that she will get the most weeks as world #1 am in only two college seasons, not 4 like Leona.

 

She's a very special talent.

They are reporting Anna may have to card a 9 for the first hole instead of a 5. She took a preferred lie in the first cut. They are playing preferred lies in the fairway due to all the rain.

My comment: all records are there to be broken, happens eventually.

Rose Zang will turn 20 on May 24th 2023.....Had Lydia stayed an amateur till the same age Zang is now Zang would NOT be holding the record! She will never be RR#1 as a teenager! These records have to be put in some perspective...

Looks like on the ANWA leaderboard she did get a 9 and shot a 76.

Looking forward to watching this.  Have no qualms about cheering for Rose, she's wonderful.

Coulda shoulda woulda - records are records, not conjecture. I do agree with you however about what most likely would have happened.

 

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it - amateur records are fine but the pinnacle of the game is the pros and Lydia sits atop that pinnacle.
