They've always had the worst ferrule creep. Also find it funny that he's played both autoflex and steel flex in driver in past few years, opposite sides of the spectrum.

is he really? man Jimmy had it going for a handful of years.  great dude and surprised he is off Titleist and with Cally as well as messing with these shafts.  But everyone needs help at some point.

His entire career, yeah. He’s been consistently well below tour average in accuracy off the tee, hence that 41” driver experiment from awhile back among others. He was just above average in all other categories, especially putting. Lyme disease really derailed all that it seems.

He is unsponsored and has zero status. Here on a sponsors exemption I would guess.

Not a sponsors exemption but a “Career Money Exemption”. That how guys like Davis Love and Ernie Els get into some of the Tour events.

Yes, he is in the top 50 on the career money list and is playing on that exemption, hoping to do well enough to secure his status for next season. At 44 years old, any Tour win is huge for him, would be nearly enough to bridge him to the Champions Tour. 
 

I’m pulling for him. After the suffering he went through with Lyme Disease it is nice to see him playing well. Before that, when he won the PGA at Baltusrol he seemed to be as good as any player on Tour.

That one didn’t last very long IIRC. That was back when he was in the Titleist 917 around 6 years ago.

DL3 is a lifetime member for having 20+ wins and 15 or more seasons.

Yes, and he landed the top 50 exemption thanks to the guys that switched to LIV.
