It's so good - the face-balanced nature and deep milling is amazing. I'd be curious to see how it felt without the milled marks.

How does it compare to the face milling on Scotty’s? I’ve only tried a PLD Anser, but it still had the plastic on it unfortunately, so the feedback was off.

As deep as any retail face milling I've tried, to be honest. Some of the solid milled Scotties without an insert might be close, like the studio select or something like that.

Gotcha. I’ve got a special select and love that feel. Definitely going to be looking around to get my hands on a PLD!

Yes - for the true custom PLDs through the Ping putting lab, they can and do create one-off pieces. Honestly if I easily had $1300 to spend on a putter, I would've gotten fitted there at Ping for a custom putter. I would have loved an Anser 2D like Tony Finau's with deep milling.

Yes sadly - there are a few options but pretty limited. Best idea might be to look for a used older one from the BST or eBay - I have an old Ping blade from the early 90s that isn't milled and has great feel.
