This guy fired a 58 on my home course last year (he grew up there).  Unreal dude, great player, his kids are great players.  Overall the type of guy you want around your kids and your club.

I work out with his kids. Have seen him for a lesson. Great dude! I remember hearing that through the grapevine.

They interviewed him during the round on ESPN just now. Yep I like his teaching philosophy. He has game too for a club pro he had just birdied 2 in a row and just missed by a fraction his 3rd. Hanging in there good too with those lead taped beat up irons

Every time I feel like I need new clubs I should come here and look as this bag. Then look at what he shot at a PGA championship. Then go practice more.

I used to play his home course (Arroyo Trabuco) quite frequently.  Lovely track!  I never met him, but the club is top notch all the way around.  He seems like a great representative for it!

The man either needs to switch to something like the P7MC or get his the heads refinished.  I know that teaching pros have an allowance for equipment every year so he has no excuse, lol.

I've played at Arroyo Trabucco a couple times and have met Michael.  He seems like a good guy.  Congrats on finishing high enough to get into next year's PGA Championship.

His excuse is they work well enough to finish ahead of Rahm, Soieth, JT, Finau among several others 😬
