Hi Mollie, can you get your intern(s) to fix your leaderboard please?

We saw Leona leading her match at end of the front nine, then a few minutes later we saw this (Leona leading 3UP in the summary but Narin leading 3UP in the drop down details):

image.png.b55273e2320b868a7a423bb5fd029fda.png

4 holes later we see this:

image.png.1e1814224e5667381112364b512c3a05.png

Which led to some uncertainty amongst followers:

image.png.8853a857bf3b61ee6f8ec1f6f5312683.png

It's basic communication to LPGAT followers, how about setting a goal of excellence and simply achieving it for a such a mundane element?

Get your focus on this stuff please, there are inaccuracies in your on-line leaderboards most events. Fix it for good.

Please.

I noticed it too and most week the regular leaderboard is screwed, multiple weeks in a row I would notice the scores were an hour behind and not being updated.  The scoreboard would show the 5th hole but the players is on the 11th. lol

Yep, it will often just have incorrect - not just time lagged - info.

A 12 yo could get this stuff right.

These basic errors reflect poorly on any org leadership.

Bet we don't see it addressed.

Well, I certainly wouldn't have picked Lindsey Weaver-Wright to be the last American standing.

If you watched the match where she beat Brooke, Brooke probably shot 80 with about 36 putts and still only lost 1 up on 18 after missing about an 8-footer for birdie.   The winner was always gonna be fodder, nobody in the group can play this course very well. lol

I been trying to convince myself since moving back to town that I wasn't gonna pay the absurd greens fees to play this spot.

But it's really not working 😂

Such deep, insightful commentary going on here. “You can never give up in match play!”

Right….by extension, a pro is simply going to give up in stroke play? 😂

Beautiful spot to play golf, don’t think I could convince myself to back up the Brinks truck for it though.

In true Las Vegas fashion, the course does not look like it's in Vegas.  More like a parkland location.  Whatever, it is very appealing to look at.

Mr. Wynn isn't known for skimping on cost! The course at the Wynn proper looks very, very similar - played it last summer. It's absolutely flawless.

MOST courses in town are definitely desert golf though. And getting moreso - lots of turf being replaced in water conservation efforts. Which we're really, really good at here. 🙂

Why are the two players 5-0-0 having to play off against each other? Surely if you are unbeaten you deserve to draw either 4-0-1 or  4-1-0...seems a little unfair to me. It's now impossible to have the 2 finalist 6-0-0.

They're in brackets based on seeding.....there is NEVER  a reshuffle for a bracket tournament..... you play it out and upsets happen

Just the luck of the draw. LWW vs Schubie in round 1 you also have Stark v Furue

Heard they were on the clock.

Who was the culprit? 😅

Albane.

I've not noticed her being a particularly slow player previously, perhaps it was a tactic....if so it failed.

Linn had her share of slow moments during the tournament. I clocked her at over 1:30 on several shots.

I wonder how many shots I could save if I had nearly two minutes to pull the trigger on a 30' putt.

Of course it isn't just Linn and Albane. As we've discussed ad nauseum, the tour allows the lead groups to play ridiculously slow, and as long as the trailing groups are keeping pace, they're fine. Why does the tour allow threesomes to play in 5 hours? Twosomes in 4 hours? 'Played a round three days ago. My twosome was the first one out and we played in under three hours.

The thing I find most annoying is when players wait until the player behind them, or farther away on the green, to analyze their shots. Saw Carlota do that the other day. If you're waiting for the green to clear you should be ready to go with club in hand when it's your turn.

Agree with everything you say here.

Carlota is a shocker, has been a snail for years.

I'm starting to think that the role of caddies should be downgraded, too much discussion, wastes time + the golfer alone should be responsible for decisions. Some of the actions on greens are especially outrageous imo with caddies reading puts and pointing to spots.

I'm not criticising caddies per se, rather they have become so good at what they do that it's become a player/caddie team whereas I think the player should be making all the decisions based only on their own input.

Most of all, play needs to be sped up, it's a tough watch live these days, I rarely watch live now, too much dead time.

Very lop-sided coverage of matches in the QF with at least 50% of time spent covering the Grant/Valenzuela match, 25% Boutier/Furue and a few time crumbs for Annanarukarn/Ciganda and Maguire/Weaver-Wright.

Why?

I imagine it's the same setup as most tournaments. Two on course camera crews and two on course reporters. A handful of holes have cameras above and behind the greens, but the "feature groups" get the majority of the coverage.

I watch the vast majority the events time shifted by 30 minutes or so. Allows me to skip commercials and the nauseating preshot routines. I have a 30 second skip button on my DVR remote, so I can easily tell when a player takes 30, 60, 90, or 120 seconds to play. There have been plenty of shots this week that have taken 90 seconds or more. Oy.

While there's never an excuse I kinda get it here depending on the hole location or where you are around the green.  So many shots are treacherous, and the landing spots are so small, every miss brings a bogey or worse into play, I can see players stressing here. lol

That still takes seconds to ascertain such information especially playing the same course for the 4th day in a row 😒

I watch too much PGA golf, so LPGA slow play doesn't bother me as much, cause PGA slow play is ridiculous, but they also have many more cameras so as a fan you notice it less.  With LPGA cameras only covering 6 players they don't switch among players as much, so you notice LPGA slow play much more.  Have you seen the Cantlay video where it takes him almost 3 minutes to pull the trigger. lol
