Finally broke down a couple months ago and traded in my old Cleveland 588 DSG-RTG wedges (52/26/60) for these vokey's and I am glad I did. It feels as though there isn't as much weight in the heads of the Vokey's as with the 588's and that took a short time on the range to get accustomed to. In regards to spin, I was landing my shots with these in the middle of the green on some 3/4 knock downs and they would whip back off the front of the greens during the first week or two but now they seem to be broken in and the spin is very controllable. I held out from switching to these for a long time but I wish I would have switched earlier!

The gold standard, would be hard pressed for me to try something new.

I have a 54 and 60 with a 50 on the way. 60 is my go to club from 110 in. Not sure if i could play without it.

I have a 56.08 & 60.08. I love them. Amazing spin, I can get a top rock to check up. I like the heavy weight also, great wedges!

I'm only slightly afraid of full shots with the 48 and 52, other than that, great performing wedge.

i'm curious about this as well. I need to replace my beat up wedges and my last set of Vokeys just shredded up golf balls. My home course is a bombers paradise so i'm using my wedges more than any other clubs besides the putter. Brand new, I was cutting up about 5 or 6 golf balls every round with my sand wedge.

What's not to love, it sets up perfectly at address. The cleavland has a more rounded sole if that's what you are into

Time for a new gap wedge and debating which finish to go with. I'm leaning towards the oil can finish. What finish should I go with?

I had to return a hybrid and decided to pickup an SM5 lob wedge to replace my 60* C-C. I don't attempt as many flop shots as I used to and wanted something with a little bit more bounce. This is the first new wedge I've ever bought! I can't wait to try it out.

Can someone tell me which grind is best for a Hard pan course with little grass? Full shot gap wedge is what I need, not chipping.

SM5 SOLE GRIND DESCRIPTIONS:

L Grind: Narrow crescent sole with small forward bounce surface and minimal camber.
Swing type: Slider. Condition type: Firm.

T Grind: Dual bounce sole with wide trailing bounce surface.
Swing type: Slider/Neutral. Condition type: Firm/Medium.

S Grind: Full sole with straight trailing edge ribbon and moderate heel relief.
Swing type: Slider/Neutral. Condition type: Firm/Medium/Soft.

M Grind: Crescent sole with narrow forward bounce surface and moderate camber.
Swing type: Slider/Neutral. Condition type: Firm/Medium.

F Grind: Full sole with moderate camber and small trailing edge ribbon.
Swing type: Slider/Neutral/Digger. Condition type: Firm/Medium/Soft.

K Grind: Wide sole with increased bounce and enhanced camber.

These are Excellent! I have 52,56,60 and also a Black nickel 60 K grind. The K grind takes some getting used to.

Love Vokey's just grabbed up a 54, 58 from 2009 red saw tooth they rock been playing the SM4 really like my 46 SM4 raw I find allot of greens with it.

I've always played vokey's and always will. Back in HS 18 years ago, there were Cleveland's or vokey's. I tried Cleveland's and I didn't hit them as well as the Titleist's so that's the way it's been forever

Been on Vokey's for quite some time now, probably 8 years and haven't even thought of moving away from them. I am a release behind because I absolutely hate the new design on the 8's, just look awful cheap to me and my 7's are breaking in quite nicely with a good patina. I will always keep my eye on them.
