was using hzrdus rdx black, changed swing, and now i hate it. tried the kaili red stock on TM stealth 2 plus, what are other shafts that are similar?

Hey guys, as the title suggests, I have been using the hzrdus rdx black in 6.5 in my TSR2 for about a year and ive had a swing change which makes my transition way less violent, and now i have grown to hate it. it feels too boardy and stiff, and i struggle to close the club face enough. I swing at 116-118 mph with the driver. I tried the Kaili red that comes stock at a big golf store in the 60x and i liked it a lot, but i just wanna know if there are similar type shafts out there that feel similar in terms of the amount of kick. The Kaili red really helped me kinda kick the head into squaring more and i got way better results. TIA!

Not surprised that you went to a more moderate rhythm and now don't like it. That shaft says "fast" on the tempo category for a reason.

 

You might look at shafts that are advertised for moderate tempos like a smoke yellow or similar and see if any of them improve your results.

yeah im just wondering if people have recommendations for shafts similar to the kaili red (tried the kaili white and couldnt get along with that either tbh). Have a lot of tour ad options second hand where i live so i was wondering if people had any ideas. oddly enough i could not get along with the ventus velocore blue tr. felt super super boardy and i was hitting some nasty slices with it that arent usually that big in curvature.

You've come to the right place. We're all golf club "tinkerers" here. 🙂

 

I personally heavily favor the moderate range as my pace and transition aren't as sharp as some.

I do think you should try a Hzrdus Smoke Yellow as an alternative. It's fairly similar to the black, but a little more active so it shouldn't feel boardy to you.

Since you're coming from a Black, I don't think you'd like the Evenflow Riptide CB since it's a mid-kick shaft. Although, the bend profile is fairly smooth, it at times fires off a higher launch even for a mid-launch/spin shaft.

Hopefully others chime in, but I do think the Smoke Yellow is worth a try. 🙂
