Stealth plus driver. Transfer equivalent front sliding weight to rear?

Does moving the slider weight to the rear of a stealth plus make it play like a stealth? 

 

Second question. Will playing it without the slider weigh cause any damage?

Well, I did it. Removed the 10 gram sliding weight completely. Started by changing the rear weight from 4 to 14 grams. Didn’t feel right. Dropped it to 11 grams. Wow. Much easier to get the ball up and moving on easy swings than the stock setup. Certainly felt more forgiving. 
 

the ball seemed to run more too, but the range looked like they had just mowed everything super short. I’ll get to a simulator Friday and see if the numbers match what I saw.

No, you don't have to worry about damage.

I think you'll find that getting the right head weight and head weight feel (swing weight) is going to have much more influence over the results (especially consistency and dispersion) than anything to do with the placement of the weight.    Sure you might increase the MOI of the head a little, maybe ~500 gm-cm^2.  It certainly wont hurt but it's not going to even bring it close to some of the higher MOI drivers out there (and neither the stealth nor stealth plus are really very good when it comes to the MOI).

 

Best way to tell is to see how the face impact location and consistency changes - use foot powder spray.     If the pattern tightens up, it's not the head being more forgiving, it's the consistency of your swing and delivery that's improved.

Thank you Stuart. I did notice more on center hits after I made the second adjustment. I didn’t use foot powder, but the range balls had some kind of residue that left light marks on the club face. 
 

I will try the foot powder today at the simulator.

I switched out the sliding 10g weight to a 4.5g and the rear weight to an 11g.  The ball flies much higher and goes much straighter.

OK, back from the sim. Love the shaft. First time I could produce a controlled mid height draw in a long time. I did use a 14 gr weight in the back, 4 in the front. Also matched the front weight with my 1/4” toe hit. Sure felt better. 
 

I had a couple shots spin up a bit when I didn’t close the face. So I may go back to the 11 gr weight in the rear. The numbers below are pretty much what I was looking to accomplish. (I did aim left to cut the corner, and it would have rolled out farther but I caught the left rough) regardless, a 230 carry will keep my old arse pretty dang happy!
