Industry sales meetings confirms Ping will have Driver, Irons and Wedges out next year, along with a G7xx replacement and sounds like a i5xx replacement too. The releases do sound like they will be spread out though. Driver should be January to try and grab buyers looking at the new Callaway, Taylormade and Cobra offerings. We can only hope!

That’s pretty much the same I heard too

When the G430’s were released, I remember reading that Ping was unable to incorporate carbon into their Max and SFT driver heads due to design restrictions but were “working on it”.  I have a feeling that they figured something out and this release may be the carbon crown answer.

Of course I may be wrong. I usually am…..just ask my wife.

How would a 10K impact the used market price of G430s?

In the market for a G430 but with the season ending I don't really need a driver until March/April of 2024. Am I better off waiting?

If the 10K has a carbon crown, I'd imagine there would be a lot of G430 users looking to unload their drivers in favor of a Ping with a carbon crown.

Ping is usually every two years. Didn’t the 430 come out this year? If so and they’re releasing a new one in January that would be a year turn around for them.

I wouldn't get my hopes up....

A G425 is still pricey enough, the G430 won't lose much of its value.

The 425 wasn't that much of an improvement over the G400 Max. Guys just needed newer so they bought the 425. The G430 is a game changer, if the 10k is also a game changer, you will.see the 425 prices drop.

It's just an addition to the line-up. It is still a 430 model. Just like how the LST 3W didn't come out until later as they hadn't perfected it yet. This model wasn't perfected so they waited to release it until it did what they wanted it to.

If you read the thread, it's not a replacement, it's an addition to the 430 line.

yep- glide 5-0's, blueprint s and t- will be replacing blueprints and i 59,s as well as a replacement for either the 710's or the i 525's.  Not sure why ping just didn't wait for the next cycle, the regular 430 max did tremendously like it always did.

Not sure where you are getting that from, the USGA and R&A only place a limit on vertical MOI of 5900, they make no mention of combined vertical and horizontal MOI

Vertical moi is for shots low and high on the face? So I assume anything that’s higher total moi will benefit toe/heel shots? Sign me up

My guess is that this is more of a light weight speed gainer ala..TSR1 or XXIO stuff. Likely going to G430 max-like but lighter weight (no backweight, carbon etc...) in order to maximize speed for older/slower swingers. Rather than a new standard club in their line, it could possibly replace the SFT but they could continue with 4 driver models.

It says it right there "Around the vertical axis" which is forgiveness heel/toe. Imagine the club rotating around the vertical axis, and that's the value you're looking at there.

Talked to a good friend yesterday , who is manager of a local golf store. He said the ping rep. was by last week, and had the new driver with him. He said looks very similar to the 430, but fixed weight. Didn't mention the crown. He said it's basically ping's version of the tsr1 driver. Very light weight.

Just seems odd that with the G430 Max HL they would tout the 10K model as their light weight TSR1 type offering.

From what we have read on here, the 10K just seems to be a fixed weight G430 Max with a carbon crown.  Can't see them going away from the heavier head and counterbalanced shaft theory. But I have been wrong before.  Either way I am hitting it 🙂

This is no different a release than the last G400 series.  The mistake Ping made is adopting the Max moniker to the basic G driver.  Used to be G400, G400LST then they added G400 Max 6 months later.  Now with G425 and G430 they stopped with the regular non max non LST and went Max out of the gates.  They should’ve done G430, G430LST and then this new beast could’ve been the G430 Max.  Sort of shot themselves in the foot with the whole Max label.

Maybe they should call it the G430 SuperMax?  Not a big fan of the 10K thing.  Max clearly indicates this is Maxed out top end forgiveness.  10K seems to be throwing people off.

Wow this would be right up my alley, I love light weight stuff and currently playing tsr3 with -4g weight and could use more forgiveness if it can keep spin down

Seems not fair to add to the line imo just because they fixed something they couldnt get done in time. Why not wait till 25 and drop the 10k and be more fair to the ppl who bought a 430 already like ME!

Just taking a page from the old Titleist playbook. Lets release two drivers now and then another two in 4-5 months and not tell anyone that's what we're planning on doing the entire time!

At least anounce thwt another one will be coming out down the line. I guess they are afraid it will hurt sales but like i said... then wait till next cycle to release.

This will be a new and improved G400 Max. You take a great driver and make it better, that's what they did. Who knows really how much different the 10k MAX will be from the standard MAX club head. The science shows that the G430 MAX already gets you minimal distance loss on off-center strikes. The 10k would hope to become "negligible" instead of "minimal" seeming like you just can't miss (surely a chord that struck on the 400 MAX as well). Ping has never been one to push a product and that won't change here. We as golfers saw a ridiculous amount 400 MAX drivers in bags in 2018 after the release of the 400 that summer prior (July '17) and I'd be surprised if we didn't see it again. If you get a new driver in 2024 make sure you try this one before setting any expectations.
