Cobra driver adapters

Is the only difference between an F8 generation adapter and radspeed adapter the loft increments and labeling? Mechanically, the heads seem to fit either shaft. I want to try my f8 shaft on the radspeed head but want verification there isn't something else different about them that I'm not noticing

You are correct. Even their fairway metal adapter is the same as the driver, just different labeling.

Cobra Adapter are simple and easy. Adapters are all the same since F6 if I am correct. The numbers are for the certain head, but that is the only one difference.

Thanks everyone , both heads are 9° and my fitted drivers are Callaway 9° set to 11°. With the newer adapter I can only go to 10.5° but with the older one from the f8, I can try 11.5° and 12° so now I can tinker around with more combinations!

I think you are missing the point. All Cobra adapters are the same.

 

The absolute loft numbers, i.e. 8.5*, 10.0*, etc.,  are only accurate when they are in the specific head that the adapter originally came in. In reality, all of the adapters are RELATIVE adjustments to the middle number that's on the sleeve. The newer adapters have adopted the STD, +1.0*, etc. labelling.

Okay so yea, doesn't add up to me.

Both heads are 9° so all relative adjustments are from standard(9°) on the new version and 9°(middle) on the old one. 

 

New adapter goes standard(9°), +1(10°), +1.5(10.5°)

 

Old adapter goes 9°(standard), 9.5°(+.5), 10.5°(+1.5), 11.5°(+2.5′) and 12° (3°)

 

So if both heads are 9° wouldn't I be able to set the radspeed to 11.5° on the older adapter and the f8 to 10° on the newer adapter?

From your picture, the middle loft on the old adapter is 10.5*.  That would be the equivalent to the standard setting on the new adapter.

 

Put another way, the Cobra adapters only go plus or minus 1.5* from the stated loft on the head.

That's where the confusion is. I'm a big dumb animal and thought my old f8 was a 9° standard and it's not. Thank you for pointing that out

Are they including the little collared ferrule with the driver adapters bought from Cobra directly? When I asked at Golfworks they said the OEM ferrule didn't have a ferrule, however my new shaft on my aerojet absolutely did have one.

 

Right now, I am just using a TaylorMade collared ferrule that works well.

The older Cobra adapters never used a ferrule. They were easy to use and pull shafts from. I think they started using ferrules with the Radspeed?

I was wondering if they were including them with the new OEM driver adapters when bought from the Cobra website.
