Let the speculation begin: can she break par, how many par-5s can she reach, can she make the cut, etc.

coming off her best finish of the season T-8.  She’s the one that just shanked a chip right?  Is she playing from the same set to tees?  Wish her the best and hopefully she has her A game.  Does her finish count and does she get prize money?  I wonder if the guys will be allowed to enter some lpga events too?

This really surprises me, especially with all the focus and attention on her putting woes. She has to know the extra (probably negative) attention this is going to bring to that.

Don't know how fast they are going to have the greens but I'm sure they are going to be faster that what she routinely plays on the LPGA.

She doesn't have a chance in he** to make the cut. But I for one really hope she puts up a good showing.

Not trying to be a knob here but why? She's had an awful year, only 1 top 10 finish. I'm sure the confidence is wavering a bit and playing in a PGA event may not help that.

In 2006 they invited Michelle Wie to play European Masters in Crans (course pretty narrow and short), she arrived last (78-79)

Michelle Wie, did come within one of the cut at the Hawaiian Open as a Kid, and within Two shots at the John Deere.  She was also a quarterfinalist in the Men’s USGA Publinx.  13 year old Michelle could beat a WRX 4 Capper.

Michelle had a much better chance at making the cut than Lexi will.  There are literally a half dozen LPGA players with a better chance than Lexi.  Bless her heart.

Everything a women golfer or maybe a minority golfer does doesn't need to advance anything. If she wants to do it, I support her. I respect other people have other views, but my view is this isn't biblical. She wants to try to do it and sponsors have this power, I wish her the best. This is a good fall golf idea imo.

I can understand this sentiment, but in this case it sort of does need to advance the game. Otherwise what is the purpose? She can't win the event and she is taking a spot from someone arguably more deserving so what other purpose would there be? I would agree in some cases with your statement, but here I just don't think it adds up to anything other than to advance the game, especially given her awful year and basically coming close to losing her LPGA card. I mean even Lewis sort of alluded to not wanting her on the US team. That is pretty rough.

this is over stated she isnt and wasnt close to losing her card she has exemptions she can use to retain her card next year. if she was a lesser accomplished player she would lose her card at her current cme ranking.

Not really overstated. If not for exemptions she would be losing her card. Either way, not a good year for her.

Is it the case that the LPGA  has slower greens than the PGA?

Guess since Lexi wasn't good enough to make the Asian swing on the LPGA Tour this season she was given a PGA Tour sponsor exemption to miss another cut in the USA. 🤣

Agreed, it becomes a spectacle. Most men wouldn't dare speak their minds on the subject for fear of being canceled. Some would even resent her for the effort..... I'm watching the LPGA as we speak. It wouldn't bother me not one bit though....

Entertainment.

Nobody really cares who wins, competes, etc...in minor, off-season golf events like these.  Unless you're a struggling pro trying to improve or maintain your status on that Tour, or a friend or relative of same.

Now, because it's still a novelty, people might watch to see how Lexi does.  More people than before, anyway.

Hope she figures out more than her putting.  She is playing pretty dismal this year, missing more cuts than making, barely any rounds under par.

She could quite possibly shoot a pair of 80s at this event, because she has had a lot of rounds in the mid to upper 70s on LPGA courses.

It’s kind of setting her up for failure, it was just at the Solheim a couple weeks ago where some in the media attacked her for avoiding answering questions about the shanked chip. Her performance will be magnified even more because I’m sure the Golf Channel will feature her prominently during coverage and should she not play well the negativity/scrutiny towards her will be at an all time high as there has already been instances of people harassing her on social media in the past when she hasn’t played well.
