Hey guys I'll be in Vegas holidaying with my wife on the 19th until the 29th of this month, and am going to try and get in 3-5 rounds. What I am looking for is 1 must play, and then a few decent tracks at a good price. I will have a vehicle so going out to Mesquite is a definate option. It will be me rolling solo, as the wife doesn't golf.

Any help would be appretiated.

Must plays, IMO (in no particular order): Cascada, Shadow Creek, and Wolf Creek.

I hear the Wynn course is VERY over hyped and NOT WORTH the $$$.

I've also been told that the Wynn course isn't worth the steep greens fee. On the other hand, by many accounts Shadow Creek is worth every penny.

 

If your pockets aren't deep enough to cover a round at Shadow Creek, make a trek out to Mesquite and play Wolf Creek. It's spectacular.

Wolf creek in Mesquite and any of the courses at Lake Las Vegas. All will get the blood flowing!!

Must play=Wolf Creek, simply the best in the area.

 

Options=Boulder Creek (good course at a reasonable price), Revere Lexington, Paiute, Silverstone.

 

If money is no object then go to Cascata, Reflection Bay or Shadow Creek. Wynn is way overrated and not worth the $500 fee that Cascata or Shadow Creek commands.

I played The Wynn last Wednesday it was a nice track but not worth $500.00 I was glad my boss payed. The greens were suprisingly slow. The caddie said they were going to demolish the course in the next 3 years and build condos so I guess if you want to say you played there now is the time. If you are going to spend $500.00 play Shadow Creek.

Piaute is a short drive and all 3 courses are first class. IMO the best "value" in LV is Rhodes Ranch. Played there twice last week. Nice course, amenities and very reasonably priced for LV.

Wow 10 days......that is almost too long to be out there. I I was out there for 5 days last week doing work for Nascar and that was almost too long to be out there. If I would have been out there longer I would have lost my @ss ($$). Luckly work kept me busy.

 

Didn't have a chance to get any golf in.....would have been nice.

Played Shadow Creek & Wolf Creek in december.

 

Twice an amazing experience!

 

To play Shadow Creek you MUST stay at an MGM resort (Bellagio, MGM Grand, etc).

Limo drive from your hotel to the club,... service is exellent.

 

Wolf Creek is an amazing course en certainly worth the trip to Mesquite.

 

This year i'm looking to play the Wynn and Cascata.

Wolf Creek is a must play, IMO. I was there this time last year, and it was in spectacular shape. I also played Rio Secco, booked a time @ 2:14, twilight for $100, got there early, and they let me off at 1:15 which would have been like 50 more bucks. I'd need another vacation after 10 days in Vegas!

Well so far I am going to play the Palm and Mountain courses at Angel Park Golf Club, and then go from there, sounds like they have a good practise facility so it will be a good place to shake off the winter rust. I'm staying at the Signature at MGM so I may do Shadow Creek, try and see if they will comp a round being that I'm dropping a fair amount of money. Thanks for the imput guys, just put the courses on my Skycaddie so I'm getting geeked about getting back out after a winter layoff since October.
