Good Idea or Bad?

There have been a few posts of people showing there swing. What's the communities opinion on this? Good thing to do, Not interested, or too hard? Do we have any instructors here who would like to volunteer looking at videos if they could be supplied?

I like the idea. Most posts involve looking for help (hitting it fat, high, right, left, shanking, etc.) or swing advice (I'm sliding, my right arm is doing this, etc.). The problem is there are usually multiple possible causes for for every shot error, and often times what people THINK they're doing isn't what they're REALLY doing. Being able to see their swings would help immensely, IMO.

 

[rant] On the other hand, the instructors that frequent this site get paid for what they do. Furthermore, they usually have methods they believe in and leave themselves open to criticism whenever they post as a professional. I just hope that the posts don't break down into flame wars between instructors and "experts" with differing swing philosophies, as is so often the case on some other sites. [/rant]

 

I personally would love to post my swing and have the instructors, experts, and others who frequent this forum comment on it. After all, they have indirectly had a major influence on it. You could say that my golf schools are Golfwrx (and FGI) and that my instructors are KascoPro, slicefixer, Redgoat, Jim_0068 and others, even though I've never met them.

It is my belief that with out seeing the actual ball flight(trajectory, direction, etc.) it would be difficult to comment on anyones swing. All the swings I have seen so far have looked really good, but where did the ball go?

 

But, I don't have a lot of experience analysing video so maybe other members could be of more help.
