Diamana GT vs Ventus Blue TR

Recommended Posts

GT is actually closer in EI profile to the TR Red.  TR Blue has that pronounced kick in the mid.  GT kicks there as well but it's very subtle, IMO.  GT is way more stable compared to the TR Blue which was a hook monster for me.  Launch/spin are similar.

So is the TB more comparable to the Ventus Red?

Pretty close.  1K Pro Blue is also comparable to the Ventus Red as well, IMO.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have been playing Ventus Velo TR Blue series "S" in driver since it came out, gets me 250+.  Also have the Red in two weights, and original Red too.  My buddy ordered me a Diamana GT 50, should be here next week.  I B wondering how similar it is to Ventus Velo Black.

GT is similar to the TR Red in terms of EI profile.  However, launch and spin was very similar to the TR Blue which I would classify as mid-low/low.  Don't know if you like more or less kick but the GT didn't kick as much as the TR Red/TR Blue.

Thanks for the feedback.  Being more of a fast tempo hitter, never paid much attention to shaft kick.  More interested in trajectory, how my ball behaves and if the handle is stiffer than TR Blue.  I confirm TR Blue has a stiff handle, but I want a handle more like TR Red or Black, really stiff.

I'll confirm back soon. 🙂

There's an EI profile?

There's an EI profile?

GT= Med/med/stiff

TR Red= stiff/stiff/ultra stiff

TR Blue= ultra stiff/stiff/stiff

As you can see, the GT is more similar to the TR Red than TR Blue.
