It hurts, lol.  Used to be +5 back in the day and the the amount of side bend it takes to achieve 5+ AoA is ridiculous.  2-3 AoA nowadays due to herniated discs and age and it's easier on the back plus contact is more consistent.

Come on phizzy30...the difference between hitting up 5 and hitting up 2 is very small.  The problem is trying to hit 5 up from a tee height that will only allow 2 because you have to try and contort yourself to try and manipulate the club more upward.  If you simply tee the ball 1/2 inch higher and move the low point of the swing arc further away from the ball you will naturally hit up on the ball more and unless you can't complete your follow through and make a full swing, there was a point that you would strike a ball at 5 or even 10 up if the ball were at that location, with your natural swing motion.  Conversely there is a location that you can hit 5 down on it also if you put the ball at that location.

Say the pencil represents a 2 up AoA. To hit up 5 you just need to strike the ball ever so slightly further along in the swing arc.  To do that you'd just tee it higher and rotate the plane of your swing to the right to bring the pencil back onto the intended target line and nothing else.  Your low point will move further away from the ball which must happen for you to hit the ball with your natural swing motion. It is literally as simple as that and I'm not sue why so many pros still hit down on driver when they are the best on the planet at controlling low point of their swing arc.  You can hit up on the ball without hurting yourself I'm certain of it!!

Going from +2 to +5 AoA may not seem much on paper but the spine says other wise.  It's the amount of side bend that has to be applied that hurts.  Imagine doing that constantly over years and years.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
