Who is the most disappointing winner of a tournament ever?

I saw it in a graphic on Golf Channel.  But, maybe I got a detail wrong? Maybe it's what @grm24 said, fastest to 10 wins after the first win?  But, I don't see how Tiger would get to 10 wins faster in general if he didn't get to 10 wins faster after his first win.  What am I missing?

Here's what I found on pgatour.com:  "This was Scheffler’s 10th PGA TOUR victory, coming in just his 51st start since he earned his first win at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open. Only David Duval has needed fewer starts after his first win to reach victory No. 10. Duval did it in 33 starts. Tiger Woods is third on the list with 59 starts."

https://www.pgatour.com/article/news/latest/2024/04/22/by-the-numbers-scottie-schefflers-historical-dominance-rbc-heritage-masters-the-players-championship-arnold-palmer-invitational

tiger's 10th win came in his 63rd tournament as a pro or so after appearing in his first tournament as a pro, the greater milwaukee open ... if we're counting from the moment he got his pgat card, that goes down to 54 or so ... scheffler turned pro in 2018 and played a few pga events, then a full year in 2019 ... didn't get to ten wins until well over 100 tournaments as a pro ... so apparently it's after the first win ... not calling you out ... just being a golf nerd ...

Matt Atkins beating George Bryan in a play off to win the myrtle beach ( youtube) qualifier. Guy completely deserves it as he has made over 100+ Korn ferry, and 26 PGA starts and truly is a "pro". However it would fun to see George in another PGA tour start.
But having guys like that in the event ruined it.  It should have been limited to actual YT golfers.  Not legit touring pros with some YT presence. Everyone not real touring pro was drawing dead right from the start.

Maybe it’s me, but the YouTube players I’ve watched, and it’s very few, come across like “we’re as good as a lot of the pros but we figured out how to make a living without having to do all the traveling.”  Now hats off to all these guys for making a good living playing golf, but they’re way down the list in the hierarchy of having elite level golf games.  I can testify to how good Matt is.  Known him for a long time.  A few years ago two friends and I (all mid single digit handicaps), played 9 holes against him.  He wasn’t allowed to hit anything longer than his three iron. We tied three holes. He won the rest.  Shot a 32.  It’s still hard to believe he hasn’t been more successful on the Tour, but that’s just how good all these guys are.

I'm the same age as Tom Watson, so Stewart Cink for me.

At a Wells Fargo Championship I was standing near one of the greens noting to the missus that Stewart Cink was approaching to putt.

I was about to remind the missus that he was regarded, fairly or otherwise, as something of a villain for 'taking' Watson's magical Open. Fortunately, before I could utter those words my guardian angel arrived in time to shut my mouth as Cink stood over his putt. Doubly fortunate because Mrs Cink was standing 4 ft away from us.

- Reed winning at Augusta over Rickie

- Koepka outlasting Tiger at the PGA in 2018 (I like Koepka, but man what an exciting Sunday. I guess it's hard to call it a true disappointment).

- Wyndham Clark winning the US Open. I'm not sure "why". I'm just not a big Wyndham Clark fan. There's no real rhyme or reason: he's just not exciting to me.

From a sports betting perspective: it was definitely this years Masters. I had a free bonus bet and did a parlay to guess the Top 5. Had DeChambeau over Fleetwood. That would've been a nice payday. Complete and utter luck as I don't even know how to bet on golf.

In stewing over this more, I'd honestly have to go with Geoff Ogilvy's 2006 U.S. Open win.  I was a big fan of Phil and Monty and it seemed like those two were gunning for the title down the stretch before Ogilvy had a miraculous pitch in to save par on like 17 or so and parred 18.  Seeing Monty in the fairway with a shot to get on the green and 2-putt to win a major, especially after making an insane putt for birdie on 17, and then have him turn it into a weak shot and a double bogey was REALLY tough to take.  Then Phil followed that up with a stupid double bogey to lose as well.

I’ m evil I was just the other way around… old Grumpy was never one of my favorites and my Mickelson ratings were still low…
