I own the 3 and 5 sz fairway woods. These are the easiest and longest fairway woods that i've ever played. I would reccomend these to anyone looking for a high end fw for a low price.

i have the 7 wood and it is one of my most consistent clubs on the bag. i get nothing but high, 5-10 yard draws with this club. the ball lands very softly as well. excellent distance and control. my only gripe is the paint on the crown scratches easily.

I have the 3 and 5W of this fine club,in the offset version. I bought them with the Aldila NVS shafts. First the sound: the sound these babies make is a very solid "click", reminiscent of the the sound of a ball hitting the plastic insert on the persimmon woods of yesteryear. Well...maybe not exactly...but much more so than the "tin can" sound of so many woods today. With the offset I'm able to square the club face and the ball takes off on a medium trajectory....long and penetrating. I hit the 3W about 240-250 yards and the 5W around 210-220 yards. Now here's what I don't like, which is my fault and not the clubs: I have a tough time getting them up in the air from the fairway and I am likely tas not hit a worm burner. The reason is that I should have gone with a softer flex and a shaft with a lower kick point. My previous set was a Tour Edge Bazooka High launch/Oversize with offset 3 and 5W, and they had a softer flex than the Cobra's and and a lower kick point. I could crush the ball with the Bazooka's...hitting my 3W 250-260 yards right up the middle on a high arcing flight path. They had a less crisp sound than the SZ's though. So....near as I can tell there is not a darn thing wrong with the Cobra SZ FW........I was thinking about getting them reshafted with something that'll get the balls up and give my medium slow swing some extra help.......but on the other hand I may get a new set of the Cobra M/Speed woods that are already preconfigured for hackers like me. very solid sound and feel.............a rarity.

If you are a draw player, do not buy these. They are heavily draw biased. I play a fade with every club except this one, and sometimes it even can hook on me. Made for a duffer more than a scratch golfer (as is expected).

 

I also have have a very hard time hitting this club from the fairway.

I would agree with the previous reviews. Very consistant club that is without a doubt draw biased. I have been playing the 3w for almost a year now and it's a fantastic game improvement fairway metal. It's great to have a 200-220 yard drive wiht a 5 yard (at most) draw on speed dial in your bag. The ball flight is a little high for my taste but I just got fitted and found out my swing speed is a little faster than I thought so maybe a stiffer shaft will take care of that.

I have the 5 wood and it has lasted in my bag for over 3 years- and that is the longest anything has lasted in my bag. I just havent found anything that can replace a 220-240 drive in the fairway that this club delivers.
