Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the TS and normal bounce wedge? I am confused between getting a Ping Tour W 58* TS and 58*.08

Any information would be most appreciated.

The TS has less bounce, and relieved heel, toe, and back edge. Good for tight lies, versatility, or someone with a shallow swing.

I cannot get used to my Tour Ws. Wedges are all about feel and while these feel perfect on full shots I cannot get a handle on them on the half and greenside shots.

I've been playing mine for like 4 years, and they still spin like they just came off the shelf.

I like mine, though it took a while to get used to the difference in offset from the irons I play (g5). There were a lot of thin shots that first season, but I've come around to the front.

Got 2 for $130 clearance from TGW, so that was nice

I have Ping Tour-w 52*,56*58* wedges. I really like the 52 and 58 but I am battling with my 56. I am short with the 56 now bent at Ping to 55* and still have to stand on it to ht it 100 yds. I hit my 52* 110-115 I hit my 58* 85-90 yds with a smooth swing. All clubs have rifle shafts. I guess I need a 54* wedge so I can swing it smooth. Any ideas?

I've gotta tell you i have really be impressed with my tour w wedges. I have about 10 rounds on the 54 and 3 on the 60, but they are really good. I like the 60/TS especially. It is awesome to open up and hit those high lobbers. I like it out of the rough alot too. If the ball is up even a little i can really get under it. i haven't figured out how to chunk it out all that well yet, but the 54 seems to do the trick on that one. they are great for full shots as well. I bent mine to purple dot, and i am really happy i did. It is working out really well.

Loving my Tour-W's too! Have 54/10 bent to 55/11 and 60/08. The grooves spin the ball nicely but don't tear up the cover. These work great for those chip/pitches of 30 yards or so; they check right up after one hop.

 

If you watch ebay brand brand new, or near new, Tour-W's can be had for about $50 each. The 17-4 stainless is ultra durable too so these wedges will last a LONG time before noticeable wear effects the grooves.
