The Black Series now has another option for golfers demanding the best in performance, precision and craftsmanship. Black Series i Putters feature the same multi-material construction as the original Black Series Putters, but now utilize the new multi-layer Tour insert that provides premium feel and responsiveness. Odyssey engineers have precisely controlled each putter’s headweight so it can be matched with the specific shaft length for impeccable consistency and control. The rich, nickel-plated finish will also appeal to elite players. Each model utilizes the Fine-Tuned Loft System, which optimizes each putter’s loft in conjunction with its CG (center of gravity) to generate pure roll characteristics.

Got to play with my #9 for 9 holes not keeping score and hitting several balls I loved the feel and the weight of it.

Finally a suitable replacement for the Trihot putters. I love the firmer soft feel it offers and the weight is spot on. I have mine backweighted with a 75 gram weight and it is just perfect.

this new i #1 is the first blade I've played in a while. I rolled a lot of Anser'type putters and the weight, balance, and esp. the feel off the face with the insert fit me better than any Scotty or Ping I tried. these are great, and I don't think I'll be going back to a center-shafted putter anytime soon.

I believe the target weight of both the 34" and 35" models is 340g. I know the 35" is, and it's written/engraved on the bottom of the putter.

as marked on the sole at both stock lengths.

Can anyone tell me the headweight of the Odyssey White Hot XG #9 and the Odyssey Black Series i #9 at 33".

The black series i seems heavier when I compared both at 33"

Does this putter with the bottom of it being open on both sides have any chance of catching the grass when you pull the trigger? It looks like the trailing edge on both sides is real close to the ground and without a little forward press it may catch. Or does the bar in middle come down lower to prevent this?

Kicked Scotty out of the bag. Was banging putts passed the hole constantly leaving testers coming back with my newport 2. Decided to switch to a putter with an insert and VIOLA!!! four putts under my average very first round and have yet to go over 36 putts since I made the switch. Not looking back. Great product. Easy alignment, perfect weight, and the soft insert keeps me from becoming Thor and laying the hammer down on some putts. The switch is giving me a renewed confidence in hitting my goal of getting under a 15 handicap before July.

I have been playng the black series i 2-ball for two months now and all I can say is that I love it. I have been making some crazy putts and getting gimmies quite often. Regarding the question about the putter getting stuck....it happened the first day when practicing, but it is just a matter of getting used to the weight, stand and pulling the trigger properly. All in all this is a great putter, definitely worth every penny. Plus it just looks cool.

i`ve been playing the #7 black series i for a couple of months now and i am very satisfied!

 

it took some time to get used to it with long putts, but was very confident with the short ones from the beginning.

the insert is firm enough to provide a good feel of the ball compared to the real soft xg insert!

 

i also like how stable and forgiving the putter is. even on mishits the ball starts on the targetline.

 

furyk and donald use one, so it might be a good choice for some of us as well...

Odyssey black i 2ball is the best putter i've ever owned. The distance control you get with it is unmatched. I have owned a couple camerons, a couple other odyssey putters and it puts those to shame. Great putter.

I have tried multiple putters including scotty's and my #1 is the best I've ever found. It has outstanding feel and is weighted just right. Best putter out there IMO.

I have the black i #1, and I love it; the only problem I had with it was that it took me a long time to get used to the roll and distance. I think it's because I was used to a mallet though.

I love soft inserts on my blade putters. I have tried Ping i, Odyssey White Tour #1, and Odyssey Black Series i #1 and own the first two. The Black Series i is sooo sweet. The rear tungsten weighting really does make a difference. In the end, it's what YOU like.
