got a titleist pt 13 with s300 shaft and its heavy head version[2lines on clubhead].its 2 hard 2 hit.wanna put graffolloy blue in it.will there be any problems cos its the thru bore shaft version.and more importantly will it mess up the balance[puttin a lite shaft into a heavy clubhead] and was this club designed for a steel or heavy shaft

i too have the same problem, i have a 980f and want to go to a pt but prefer graphite shafts. is it possible to put a speeder or another graphite shaft in instead of the steel?

As far as I know the clubheads with 3 lines on the sole are made for steel shafts since the clubhead is rather heavy. The ones with two lines are heavier so one can install a lighter graphite shaft.

If you have the bore through version it may be a 295 taper tip and you can't find those in graphite. Or at least i haven't found one for my pt

I can second that... i had the PT13 and was told you need to get the .295 taper tip shafts.... a good club builder can probably get you one... try asking Joe K. the TT EI-70 woks great in it tho.

The "second edition" of the PT's (the bore thru model) is a .295 TAPER TIP hosel. It takes a special tipped shaft to be inserted fully.

 

You can install a graphite shaft as a blind bore or a standard bore and then plug the bottom with a rubber or wooden plug.

 

(Or it can be bored-out to fit a .335 tip shaft.)

 

 

IT IS NOT THE SAME CLUB AS THE ONE RELEASED IN THE EARLY 90's!!!
