I just bought a new SC Newport 2.6 & rolled the 1st putt in 20ft away for a par...wow left to right break mid way too. I ended up only shooting a 76 as I had 25 putts. I'm very pleased as I had no sleep the night before as I had a choice sleep after work or play golf. I made the right choice as its raining today. I hit my irons poorly as that part of my game did suffer as my putter bailed me out.

Pingdaddy, I am not sure why the 2.6 doesn't get more press. I have owned over 50 putters in the last 25 years and I have never had one that rolls the ball as well as the 2.6. This putter is awesome. I am going to put a sticthback gripmaster grip on my 2.6 this week. This one is a keeper.

I was never a Scotty guy.....until about a month ago. I was killing time at the Haggin Oaks Superstore with my son. We were putting around and decided to go take a look at the Scottys. I picked up the Squareback and proceeded to drill 6 putts in a row. This thing was awesome. So here I go, sold off all my extra putters and clubs and picked up a Squareback. This thing is money. Point and shoot!

I own the Studio Select Fastback1.5, Newport 2.6, and Laguna 2. In 35", 33", and 34" respectively. Since SC's are so easy to trade/sell I picked up three to choose from. First of all they are all very solid putters. I love the look of the Newport and Laguna, and honestly the Laguna had the best feel of the three(but all three had great feel). The Fastback 1.5 looks like it will win out among the three.. it just hits putts dead straight its amazing. As I said all three are awesome, but this Fastback is giving me the best results. Glare could be a slight problem, but I wear sunglasses so its a non factor for me.

Played golf for 33 years now and swore I'd never buy a scotty. Well I have to eat a large plate of crow 'cause I bought one...purely by accident. I had just finished playing--well in fact, and was looking around the pro shop for something to entertain myself with for a few minutes before heading home. Spotted a scotty newport 2.5 / 34 with the red kombi cord grip. Picked it up and was amazed how perfectly balanced it was, most scotty's I've seen weren't--most too lite. Second thing I noticed was how it sat perfectly at address under my right eye and the grip was a perfect match to my hand--never saw that particular grip before. Practiced putting with it in the pro shop for ten minutes and kept hitting the same line over and over, all the while this other guy is watching me--so i didn't put the club down. Haggled with the pro for a few minutes and walked out the door with the putter. Needless to say it has helped tremendously--make more putts, more saves, more confidence. Misses are consistently closer to the hole, never would have believed it myself but this particular putter is a lifetime keeper. Made a 50 ft putt for birdie on eleven at the 2010 course on Celtic Manor. Had quite a few rounds lately with 3/4 birdies instead of 1/2. Nobody's more surprised than me.

I've already done a review on a different scotty but I just picked up my brand shiny new 33" newport 2 and it is so good I had to write a review.

Now most people who review things do so because they believe the product is excellent and has been marketed well.

I know scotty's have quite a bit of cache, but after putting for half an hour at the course I understand why.

First of all the putter looks beautiful aesthetically, and the grip is top notch.

But what really stands out is the PERFECT weighting of the putter, the head is so incredibly smooth through contact it feels like cheating.
Especially, the head is toe weighted so releasing the head is easy.

Without overstating this, there isn't a club I've ever sat over and felt like it was the arrow and not the indian, this putter defies that feeling.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
